  6. Thats true Doug, there's nothing wrong with going to see either of these groups now, the music and the performances will still be great as with the songs of course, but just hope that if the two surviving members go then it will end once and for all, because then there will be about ten different versions of them....just like the ones in Majorca Lenny
  7. Your quite correct Dave, its getting to be like these 60s pop revival nights with The Searchers, The Dreamers (but no freddie) and a host of other one original member left in the band tour that hit Edinburgh last year, so sad, I love both the Tops and the Temps but in original form only. Lenny
  8. Why don't we all just log on to the BBC website at the same time and tell them it was the biggest piece of shit documentary on soul music ever?, in fact I did do that not long after it but got no reply, perhaps we don't really want them poking their stupid noses into our scene anyway Lenny
  9. UK everytime , if looking through a box and a UK demo comes up my heart skips a beat , possibly due to the fact that I grew up on UK issue's, US records were never seen in my neck of the woods back in dem old 60ts days

  16. The original has a heavy moulded over label and the boot has a bevelled edge, the matrix number on the run out should be 101tm-1931, I copied the picture in my file then zoomed in, looks ok but can't see matrix number , still better to be sure Lenny

  24. I've been a subscriber to this mag since day one but have not renewed my subs, there is only so much you can say about Motown, I think fans of the label are pretty clued up on what is and what is'nt, think they were struggling to fill pages and resorted to putting northern matters in it, I too received the mag yesterday but have yet to read it, I also see that there is a new editor at the helm, the original editor Rik Williams is one hell of a nice guy but just feel the mag has run its course, I won't be subscribing again i'm afraid sorry!
