  1. Great clip, did this come out on an album? Lenny
  2. Hiya Garv, doing fine mate, can't make it next week but holding out for September Lenny
  3. You're right Garv, i used to phone him a lot in the 90s purely for records but ended up wetting myself at him, especially his Richard Domar impersonation sadly missed, still read his mags from time to time Lenny
  4. I used to follow a Glasgow band by the name of The Pathfinders, in their set they always played I Love You Yeah! and Baby You Got It, in late 67 they announced one night they were signing for Apple records and they were having one last gig in Edinburgh for their fans, this took place at the St Mary's hall in the High Street area and special guests were The Action!, word spread like wildfire and for us to see them live was like nothing else on this earth, they played a brilliant set that night and it was incredible to hear them play the two above songs plus all the Motown covers they did, for me the premier mod band...period Lenny
  5. 4 things Pete, 1. no it did'nt 2. why did'nt you warn us Levine was in it 3. why can't people dance like that anymore 4. apart from our Edwin, shite background music as usual Lenny
  6. Has had a couple of plays up here Lenny
  7. Defo Dan, would'nt mind owning a copy of this, on doing a bit of detective work on her could't find anything on JMs pages and the Gemm website indicates she may have went on to become a jazz artist or is this the same female Lenny
  8. How good was that!!!, any info on them like names and other groups they went to?, what a superb vocal from that female! Lenny
  9. Try My True Love from his "MPG" album, well worth checking out, superb stuff and a good dancer as well, Lenny
  10. never seen anything like this before, they won't ship from the U.S., pity, what a brilliant piece of thinking, anyone know if available in the UK Lenny https://www.oldies.com/product-view/GF350.html
  11. PM me if you have one for sale, ta, Lenny
  12. Not too Keen on Curtis much bit messy for me
  13. F*ck me Godz thats where it was , really need to be an old fart to remember I suppose but the place was great!, by the way i've just bought Godzilla vs The Thing DVD, imagine getting licked by a couple of grubs!, thought you were a tough guy thanks mate, Lenny
  14. Havin a real good chinwag with my cousin who now lives in Oz and we were recalling the great days when our Mums and Dads dragged us down to Scarborough in the 60s, we used to go to a place called Hairy Bobs Cavern, I always remember the dj playing Geno Washington's albums at that time (Foot Stompin etc), he didn't remember it but I can still see the sign outside, am I dreaming or does anyone know of this place, any info most welcome, Lenny
  15. Same here mate, nothing out of the ordinary i'm afraid Lenny
  16. Of course Chuck Jackson is Jesse Jackson's brother Lenny
  17. It's not a case of not wanting to pay postage, the thing I was referring to was the checkout scam, the payment method says postage will be calculated after checkout so you don't go thinking the guy wants nearly a tenner to post a single, nowhere on his site does he tell you how much international shipping is, a lesson learned of course but was just posting up a beware sign.
  18. This is a really bad problem that i've encountered as well, standard air mail for a single should be no more than $6 albums $12, I won a record on Ebay that has one of these "go to checkout" scams on it, the single postage was $14 , I protested furiously with the seller, but of course you have commited to buy by then so there is nothing you can do about it, the seller replied that all shipping for any record or DVD was $14 and this did not include insurance, I reported him to Ebay and still await confirmation from the seller regading it, so beware this "go to checkout" racket Lenny
  19. Will take pelters for this, but I happen to think Stepping Over Heartbreak is great , its obviously an Ian Levine effort and when I bought my copy about 5 years ago Steve Jeffries told me that Levine had about 5 or 6 singles out at the same time as this, although his name is not on it his sound is all over it, also Steve said it was from the Carolinas , hugely underrated record imo, and supposed to be in limited quantity, can't really remember the full story tho Lenny
  20. I've just sent him a message telling him its a boot and get his starting price at 99p he may then get a couple of bids, f*****g tw*t! Lenny
  21. Nice clean copy wanted, PM me with details, Lenny
  22. Absolute class mate, vocals and backing make this THE version of this song, totally wonderful and i've just dug out my Gettin Ready album and nearly took the fkin roof off with it Lenny
