Bought this at Fleetwood around 5 or 6 years ago and the blurb was it had been championed by Richard Searling etc so bought it blind and thought , well not too bad, boxed it and forgot about it, dug it out whilst trawling through the boxes and gave it a spin again and then thought, hey that's pretty good! , any info on this?, boot, lifted from an album? never ever seen it for sale anywhere , a soundclip for your pleasure Lenny KRISTY__GIVING_YOU_LOVE.mp3

Just to add my tuppence worth, a serious finacial risk of course but having visited Carnaby Street in London last month for the first time in 30 years I was astonished how un-mod/soul it was shops, pubs or cafe's, surely someone who owns something like the above would have some sense to at least try it and if it don't work then revert back to what it was, just a thought Lenny

I've emailed them on numerous occasions regarding the total lack of soul, they never answer and I get the impression that they are a bunch of crashed out acid heads, there's far too much emphasis on prog rock/psych and punk but to be fair to them they did a Motown picture cover peice a year or so back which was brilliant, I don't really think any of their jurnos are soul fans, or even know anything about it, I still buy it though as there is still some good reading in it and bargains can be had soul wise in items for sale ads, but they really need to give themselves a shake or take someone on board that knows their soul Lenny

Was lucky enough to see them twice in the early 80s, in Manchester and Edinburgh where they were quite superb in concert as you say, they have their critics of course such as "shopping mall" soul and "elevator music" but they were a shining beacon in the morass of programmed music in that decade, Live In New Orleans is my all time fave, Lenny

Due to a remarkable request from my eldest son who heard them in concert on a radio show in Holland asked me if I had anything by them , well I replied just all of their albums! , so whilst downloading on to my pc it must be 10 years since I gave them a listen and have to say that quality never fades!, any other fans on here?
