Have to agree with you Dave, if it's a new or up and coming sound then by all means but as you say played out oldies are repeated throughout the night at most big venues, part of the reason we stopped going to Whitby, Blackpool etc, Lenny

By all accounts Brown was a pure bastard, not just with Tammi but to everyone who crossed his path or played in his band, he preached not to take drugs but was a user himself, full of shit he was but never the less a dynamic performer. It's well documented about Ruffin's slow spiral into drug abuse but although they fought with each other I don't think he was responsible for her condition as her sister tells us it was on going when she was a child with severe headaches. I love that woman with a passion and wish she was still with us Lenny

Thanks for posting this up. As a massive fan of hers (and the duets with Marvin) this has answered a lot of questions and showed what a wonderful talent she was, don't think I've been so moved to tears like this for a long time. RIP Tammi Lenny

Gutted if this goes ahead One of the best venue's in the country atmosphere wise, just another example of Westminister council greed and total lack of respect, I've been hearing about them all weekend when I was down, imagine closing a club steeped in such a rich musical history for the sake of a few quid...
