  1. Last sunday 7th November, passed away heart failure. Dramatics had been performing in Cleveland.
  2. Yeah Mark u summed up well. can never understand somebody calling themselves a mod after say 72 (original)...suedehead, smoothie even new romantic being mod not a copycat... but his covers might bring the music to a new era keep it
  3. thats a lovely touch mike, talkn bout soul dont seem the same at mo
  4. why not reward quality than quantity, get a toggle/free holiday woteva for thread/post of the month maybe failing that... unknown newie floorfiller forgotten oldie worn out oldie same ole same ole

Top notch people, ideal venue, quality toons we even got a result in the football (wont mention the norsemen). nowt wrong with soul scene in Aberdeen Again thanks to you all Danny
  6. Cheers Kevster for clearing that one up. wot bout this one missed out on recently; https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...4040115277&rd=1 plus got a record by the old Arsenal Keeper from the 6ts em Bob Wilson-strings a goal goal or summit , is soul galore collectable anyone! thanks Danny
  7. is my boot legal then, often get confused with jm. as states there are no boots on his site...just 2nd pressings is this correct. with regards ebay from recent delving i would suggest you check the feedback on a buyer, then check their feedback and the previous feedback. check the records these people bid on and win/lose (note who else bid on the record) probably paranoid but will be staying away from some auctions, woulda just previously looked to c if any feedback to seller not anymore check bidders background 2-3 generations back too. tho guess best way is just leave a bid and forget about it, only thing is "winning" bids can make record worth more next time out. Danny
  8. Hi Mick, kickin? am still alive anyway over in dublin (franks here too down in limerick) Guess you looked about 12 then Mick (still do) so sounds bout rite.. Pilgrims inn on the river home of a great occasional soul fight err night, had a great jukebox and a place where many of us heard what became NS for 1st time. George & Dragon think was the 1st NS event i went to in Bedford bout 1972. Danny
  9. dont think you can stop anyone starting a club, maybe some are a glorified party for mates to meet up, nobody outside them has to go. If the organisers/dj's have a real passion for the scene it usually enthuses across to the punters and will likely survive. organising a "rival" do on the same night is bang out of order, never understand why people do it and worse why people attend! Danny D
  10. Hey Mick remember Frank & Me with the Addison Centre (hidin the beer cans from the warden as no beer license +illegal alniters) International Club (Curry & NS), then Rovers...Next year 30 years since we started those thursday nights; have to get Hammy, Tony W, Steve Cooper, Tommy Taylor, Taff n all to sort out a celebration. Danny D
  11. so have i, but maybe not the best example as said some or all prob kosher, some of the trails go round in a circle, maybe just me worrying over nowt and its all normal trading, havnt looked at what their selling or who else bid. cheers
  12. Hi all not wanting to be alarmist, and havn't done much work on this but hey makes a good story...but there seems to be a bit of inter trading on ebay. when you look a bit deeper within these inter trading accounts: many positives are from private or no longer registered accounts All this seems to happen in bursts a few names have picked up on: funkyou mr.soul4ever hinterlander kleerO ullekaefer tobyrd72 As said not wanting to be alarmist some am sure are genuine but i started from a query on another site, i can almost guarantee that if you follow on any multi praisers, certain names start reappearing or have the same patterns from praisers i mentioned above (not registered etc). if you are one of the above. apologies hopefully you can calm me down As said probably needs more investigation maybe there is alot of inter trading and its ok. Danny D

  16. "Danny, you can mention the site I don't mind A good addition to any site" ok chalky didn't want to add to political fall-outs of late its soul talk u and a few from here on there anyway, less theres another chalky from chesterfield:) how to set a section up here in similar way, can send scans in too
  17. yeah in addition to the jm guide another site has a section where members send in scans of bootlegs/originals to help you identify the kosher stuff. (hey mike another section request!) Danny D
  18. Hi Mike the "double posting" is well out of order, they should be named while were in the "bring things honestly out in the open season". be it taping, top djs playing boots, where ucan dj, or people talkin to themselves on here ? ....err 1st sign of madness isnt it, lets all know the true story staying quite can allow these things to fester and create more rumours. Danny
  19. Paul if still no joy u should check out surf/6ts garage sellers, the knights created and early stuff written by Gary Usher, co wrote "in my room" amongst others with Brian Wilson. think this is one is on capitol records Danny D
