What a great night. Got there about 7.45pm & the car park was rammed. Once inside found somewhere to sit but not for long. The place was jumping with Matt, Rob & Tim Hayhoe playing some top tunes. Next up was an old friend & guest DJ Mick Lloyd. What a spot I've not danced so much in years. Next up was Katie Perkins who played another great spot including The Houston Outlaws - Ain't No Telling & reminded me to dig out my copy of Ronnie Milsap. Matt mixed his next set with classic oldies (Timmie Williams) & some modern. Sorry didn't stay to the end but had to get back down to Bournemouth, Next one in January when the legend from Yorkshire (Don Morris) is a guest. Look forward to it & if you've not been yet.. why not. Plenty of Poole/Bournemouth & Weymouth soulies in attendance when there were events on down there.. says it all really. Top soul night.

I've just got back from a trip to the states & tried to buy some from a record shop I was in but the owner wouldn't sell me any. He said they were getting harder to find.

In The Spirit Of The Uni - 8 Ball (Poole) Soul
Dave Morris reviewed Stuart Ross's event in Soul Nights
Our numbers were slightly lower than our first night but expected with other events happening. I would like to thank Matt for driving down from Trowbridge. He was always a great supporter of the Uni soul nights. A big thank you to the other residents Stuart Ross & Steve Malpass for sticking with the ethos of what we're trying to achieve. We are looking to play something different from the same old stuff that can be heard at other venues in the area. If you want to hear some different stuff with a few oldies thrown in then please come along with an open mind. Dave -
