  1. Gonna be another fabulous day down the magic staircase. The history and atmosphere of the club just oozes out of the walls. Come and give a go, you won't be dissapointed.
  2. Really looking foward to sharing the decks and top tunes with Rick and Gary at this great event. Get your dancing shoes on and come and join us, gonna be a good one.
  3. I have so many great memories of Leeds Central and this one will be another great day of quality tunes and cool people.

Well after, what was initially a very last minute decision to put on an extra WSC on New Year's Eve, it's back to what passes for normality two weeks on Sunday when we welcome two great deejays in Dianne France and karen Cooper. As usual we'll have a great selection of across the board tunes to support them from our trio of residents Mike Eastwood, Chris Mallows and Shaun McPhail. Doors open at 2.00 till 8.00 and all for only £4.
  5. i think the coffee bar we moved on to was the El Toro.
  6. I remember it well, Edwin starrs backing band were "Total Concept Unlimited" who i believe went on to become " Rose Royce". seem to remember the Detroit emeralds went on forever.
  7. cant wait for this one steve, the Central was like home to us back in the day and was open tuesdays, fridays and sundays and played lots of motown stax, atlantic stuff.this is where we cut our teeth on the soul scene, learning to dance etc before going on to Dj doing the early spot before Tony Jackson and Keith Atkinson came on to do thier thing. Not long after that the wife started working behind the bar so it became a real family affair. In 73 the Leeds Central Scooter club was born made up members from the soul club is still a massive club to this day.
  8. dont forget me Luigi!!
  9. most people fell foul of the infamous willie at point or another during thier time at the Central!
