  5. Please pm with price and condition cheers
  6. I too picked it up recently, got it very cheap on here and think 'yes I'm falling in love' is by far the better side, a great record!
  7. It does worry me when I see some of the views and comments on Facebook regarding format. Each to their own I know but you can't even explain about ovo, they really couldn't care less!
  8. There are plenty of us young uns buying original vinyl. As per the £25 and under sets threads etc there are loads of top quality records that are affordable, they don't have to be stupidly expensive and I don't think it's expected considering how young some of the younger DJs are. Over time you build on your collection, sell a few bits to then fund other wants. It's traditionally an ovo scene. And not to mention how lazy and easy it is to play a few mp3s off your laptop, no thought and imagination in my opinion
  9. Considering the Tamla motown 7s box sets were approx £50 each £80 is a bit steep. Let's hope these play properly for the extra money!
  10. Now sorted. Thanks
  11. Please pm me with price and condition. Needed asap Ideally
  12. Pmd you
  13. Wow, just seen this thread is 3 years old now. How things have changed in that time. Soul nights up and down the country have a regular following of young folk in attendance, dancers, djs and collectors. I think the scene is in safe hands. I met one of the Spanish guys djing at different strokes a few weeks back, plenty of young people into the music from all over (which I know has been the case for a while now) but great to see.
  14. Some records don't sound so good when played at home but then sound fine on a decent, loud system. Some however do sound shocking!
  15. I suppose I've seen that many records at rip off prices that when you see a bargain you feel obliged to compliment the seller on their decent price. I completely understand where you are coming from though, I'm guilty of it but only on a couple of occasions. I know the times I have said 'that's a steal' that the seller hasn't then hiked up the price and relisted it, although it wouldn't surprise me if some people did.
  16. Couldn't agree more, had it a few times on both wants and sales. It's courtesy just to reply!
  17. Just read the Rafa Newton Aycliffe playlists as I regularly do and saw Top Shelf was played in one of the earlier spots, a few good words said about it too. All it takes is a few spins for some records to hit it off. I'll keep hold of mine for a bit I think ;-)
  18. The cheapie dj! Haha, a shame to play Bob Meyer and Teddy and The Fingerpoppers so early on, fantastic records. And not so cheap in my book ;-) Great sets though, always read these playlists and enjoy them. I look forward to visiting at some point in the future. Keep up the great work
  19. Not a bad record for the price, I picked one up for about a tenner on Discogs last year. Mines on Lo Lo also
  20. I did also wonder about these soul packs but 500 is too many for me, more for the cost. What about Tim Browns? Anybody had any from him as he does much smaller packs doesn't he. I'm sure I saw 100 packs. Anyone bought any? Mike
