  1. I thought I'd never find this one! Heard it on that video ages ago then couldn't find it. Totally forgot about it until Basement Jaxx came on the radio this morning which jogged my memory! Thankyou very much for the help, I'm pretty certain that's the one and hopefully got a copy on the way thanks to Ivor. Much appreciated folks! Cheers Mike
  2. Bit of a long shot... I'm looking for a track ID and possibly the record although it may not be available or may be well out of my price range. I recall the tune in question was on a video of a soul night on YouTube and it sounds very very similar to Basement Jaxx-Good Luck. I've searched online for soul records titled good luck but never had much joy, any ideas folks? Cheers! Mike
  3. There's a couple of okay records in there but Love that girl is by far the best, got mine on discogs for £30

  7. Does anybody else thing the beat sounds off, if that makes sense? Not sure if it's just my particular copy or just how it was recorded. Anyone else?
  8. There's a fair few versions then, also picked up a copy of the flintstones Ruby which is a similar, shorter vocal version
  9. So if Outta Sight are legit, what about the rest of the lookalike stuff on the likes of Soulful Records and eBay?
  10. Pete, I was asking that with regards to the regular comments of "format doesn't matter" predominantly on the likes of Facebook. Of the format doesn't matter then why bother with vinyl full stop. I also said it in relation to those not interested in OVO. They're usually against OVO branding others snobs as they're stood in there Fred Perry Polo that cost them £50. Bet they wouldn't be seen dead in a fake off the market though. Hypocrites!
  11. It's unreal the amount of boots that are out there and the attitudes to OVO on the likes of Facebook are "it doesn't matter what the format is" I think this is partly due to an influx of people who have only recently got into soul/Northern Soul so they don't fully understand and appreciate OVO. It's nice to know that there's a fair few of us younguns who wil only play/collect OVO as I've discussed it several times with people my age. I just feel anybody can go onto eBay, buy a few top 500 pressings and start a night. It's also a bit of an insult if you've been collecting for a long time, spent a lot of time, effort and money for some one to turn up with the same records but copies of. The other thing I don't understand is if the format doesn't matter, or you're not interested in OVO, why be interested in vinyl full stop?! Just download them. Confused.com
  12. That outta sight seem to be pressing everything, is it all legit? I'm not so sure it is due to the sheer scale of it. Can't believe the crazy prices some people are paying when you can get some quality original records for much cheaper or of the equivelant price.
  13. I saw some odd dancing by a few people a bit younger than myself on the videos that Jud puts on Facebook, hard to tell if they're taking the piss or are genuine.
  14. I quite like looking back at some of the old footage as I'm only 26 so never experienced "how it was" however I imagine nights weren't often filmed whereas nowadays everybody's got a camera handy. I do find the acrobatics very OTT and put on especially when there's somebody with a camera, even seen these daft poses people do in photos. Maybe I'm just jealous because I'm overweight and can't pull it off!
  15. Always a great night at Rugby and one of the best All Nighters in my opinion. Nice review!
  16. Looking forward to getting a copy
  17. Sorted cheers!
  18. Anybody got one at a sensible price?
  19. Wish I had some decent stuff to offer you. What a fantastic record!
  20. Then maybe no one could love you more and soul bros inc pyramid
  21. Emperor of my babys heart
  22. Pmd you
  23. Ha! Cheers for the info Mark, tried looking for it after Rugby, should have just asked you thinking about it now! Thought it may have been some one off or something. Got one from Juno on it's way so happy days! Mike
  24. Is that extended version of Velvet Hammer available to buy anywhere that you played at Rugby? Thought it may have been on here but couldn't see it.
