  1. . Here's a comparable Light Blue Variation that matches the Maroon above. It has the same style of text & same Layout. I don't own this Light Blue Variation but it looks like it was from the same Printer / Pressing Plant.. I would expect the Text to be similar to my DEMO below. .
  2. The Label suggests that the Blue was first issue, possibly a limited first press. Unless it's a regional thing, where one pressing plant chose the different Logo at time of release. I've wondered if there's a DEMO out there for the Blue Variation. If there isn't, I'm guessing that it was a single pressing plant out of sync with the others. The Dark Blue must be the rarest format. However; If there is a DEMO for the Dark Blue - WOW! Incredibly rare.
  3. Only ever seen DEMOs of these though.
  4. That "I'm Satisfied With You" Instrumental still love it to this day. Those Violin Strings JUST PERFECTION. as with most of the other Mirwood / Keymen Instrumentals. "Same Old Thing", "What Is This" Instrumentals I bought around the same time.
  5. I am assuming that before the days of email of course, once the Basic Logo had been sent for each Design in Turn, the Pressing Plant & Printer were left to it. All done on a phone call once the Plates were in place. Possible using up material from earlier designs as already suggested.
  6. Here's an Unusual CHECKER Variation, More used to seeing it in Light Blue. I know that Rescue Me has many many Variations of the Red Label or Maroon in some cases. Heres a Maroon Checker Board Variation. More used to seeing it in Blue Incidently, every U.S. DEMO for Rescue Me that I have ever seen is on the Checker Board Variation.
  7. Yes, I think so too. I have a Blue Label Maurice & The Radiants on its way so when it arrives will Post it up. Also able to check Deadwax at that point.
  8. Nice One, Many Thanks. Got to be it's Rarest Format. I wonder how many other releases we can Identify on the Dark Blue Label amongst these Later 1900 numbers.
  9. Another Extremely Sad Loss. One Of The Greats. Jerry Leiber R.I.P.
  10. Extremely Sad News Another Of The Greats Gone. Nick Ashford R.I.P.
  11. These days I rarely buy LPs, However, I still keep this in the Collection. Still think "Supertime" though, ain't it strange. A wonderful cover up name - The Golden World Strings.
  12. Thanks Kev Nice to see a second Label Variation makes me wonder if every pressing plant produced a DEMO format for this release, I'm sort of guessing they did. Either way they must have produced them in a much smaller quantity than some of the other releases. Virtually Impossible to find in 2011.
  13. Here's another Variation for the DEMO.
  14. Hi Dave Yes, Ric-Tic gave us a few hard to acquire DEMOs. The only 6 by 6 DEMO I have ever had chance of was the one on ebay a month or so ago. Unforunately I was outbid.
  15. A nice UK & US DEMO there Dave. Guessing 6 by 6 US DEMO must have been produced in a smaller quantity to some of the other releases.
  16. Me too, I need 6 by 6 DEMO. One on ebay a couple of months ago, Quite Heavy bidding.
  17. "The Flick" not easy as a DEMO. 6 by 6 DEMO is even harder to find.
  18. Many Thanks for Information. Could it be a regional thing similar to the West Coast Motown Labels at Monarch. The Soul Label for Instance using the Older Lilac & White design for a longer period.
  19. I have a few CHESS records in my collection, I found it unusual to see a Dark Blue CHESS Label so far into the Label Numbering system - CHESS 1966. What period of time was this Variation used. There's also a Dark Blue CHESS Label for this one Maurice & The Radiants - CHESS 1954. Is it possible that all releases may have a Dark Blue CHESS Label out there somewhere say up to CHESS 1966 for instance. or is it just certain issue numbers.
  20. Having just missed out on a Smoky and the Fabulous Blades Jerk,Baby Jerk DEMO I am reminded that I am not the only one still chasing & collecting Instrumentals. Recently bought the Purple / Silver copy below. I Still love Instrumentals & collect them when I can.
  21. I still have the collecting bug Richard, as strong as ever. I'm always hungry for Information and sharing same relating to these sometimes elusive discs.
  22. Another that's been in my collection for years, a wonderful job by you all Lorraine. Released in UK too. Roger.
