  1. I don't know how many copies of each, or which if any may be rarer. Strange isn't it, that the Matrix has "HAPPY DAYS" as the A SIDE & the flip Deadwax Matrix as the B SIDE It would appear that they went to a considerable amount of trouble to correct this.
  2. Thanks Richard, That would be great. I have seen this on Dynamics, Don't recall seeing the Westbound ZTSC Though.
  3. Thanks, I wonder how they managed to swap sides with the ARCHER Stamp. I always thought that it was on the MASTER PLATE along with the other Details. This one has the ARCHER Stamp on the "A Side" too.
  4. Just bought a second copy of this and to my surprise it has the ARCHER STAMP on the "A Side" whereas my Existing copy has the ARCHER STAMP on the "B Side". The Labels are Identical and both sides play as the Label suggests, however the Deadwax has also been altered. I wonder if this was a simple mistake, or was "HAPPY DAYS" ever considered as the A SIDE. ARCHER STAMP This copy has "W-145-A" Scratched in the DEADWAX on the "HAPPY DAYS" (B SIDE) ARCHER STAMP "W-145-B" Scratched in the DEADWAX on the "Trying Real Hard" (A SIDE) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The copy below has "W-145-B" Scratched in the DEADWAX on the "HAPPY DAYS" (B SIDE) The Matrix as above Looks like they altered the A to B by scratching across the bottom of the A "W-145-B A" Scratched in the DEADWAX on the "Trying Real Hard" (A SIDE) ARCHER STAMP ARCHER STAMP ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ It was the B SIDE on the later number too.
  5. I'll check my RED Vinyl Copy against the light though I expect it will be the same. Recently bought the White DEMO on SOUL too, so will check Deadwax once i've located both copies to compare.
  6. Here it is, It's a BOOT and I bought it as a BOOT. (Has quite a WIDE Deadwax) Gotta admit that when I bought it, similar thoughts crossed my mind as to the Original. I've Since bought it on Riverside Stock Copy, White DEMO & The Counterfeit White DEMO. Still remember the thrill of playing it at home on that TRU-GLO-TOWN BOOT way back in the 70s following a trip to Nottingham.
  7. Very Sad News, R.I.P. Robert Dickey (Bobby Purify)
  8. Patiently waited and found another copy, arrived This Morning.
  9. Looks OK to me too. Should be COLUMBIA DEMO od COLUMBIA Stock Copy. Stock Copy is Rarer.

  15. PopSike.com AGENT OO-SOUL (Agent Double-O-Soul) I believe that this Yellow Label is from the first batch as it has both Titles Exactly as the White DEMO has. Then Yellow & Red Labels below, all produced at the time of release as far as I'm aware.. Not sure where this one below comes in.
  16. I think you're right the Yellow & Red Label on Vinyl is suspect & possibly a Boot / Repro press. However the one below is also Vinyl & I am led to believe is OK - Can't find much out about it to be Honest.
  17. Believed to be the Master Tape recently on ebay too >>> LINK <<< Same source ?
  18. Many Thanks Paul. Information like this is brilliant to read about. Like Chalky says "we are always fascinated by the stories from back then" It's great to have you on Soul Source.
  19. RE : Original Question Here's the Album on Imperial with the Track "6 O'Clock" Booted as "SUPERTIME".

  21. I think that it has always been in that sleeve Richard, not sure if the Price would be correct for a new record during that period of time. If so it would help to confirm that theory and tempt me to put all my records on the Money Label in Brown Sleeves. Would that follow that a particular coloured sleeve was used on all new issue from a certain record label. I too love those STAMPED sleeves that you have posted.
