I have checked with Mike, mutiple opinions on value can be posted in Refosoul. Plus the source can be what you have paid, would pay etc.

Until I found Soul Bowl and Global Records It was a bit of a lottery at our Local record shop though it did turn up some goodies. One that I remember was my Stock Copy of The Charades on M-G-M, came in through Bradford Market I guess.

This one I paid good money for £15 I think it was. It has PB in the Deadwax. Oh dear.

Trouble was that some Originals had arrived via places like Bradford Market. They were mixed in with these Boots at our local shop at times. I missed an original Duke Browner on Impact for a little more than the pressings were sold.

When I bought this I hadn't seen too many Imports. Somehow it looked the part. Possibly the colour similar to the Ric-Tic records that I had seen. Plus at the time I didn't know that it was on Riverside

Refosoul does have this feature readily available for Members to use. I have entered 2 different prices for the same record as a test. Therefore, I believe different opinions on value can be posted.

My copy is "THE SHOCKER" title variation. Don't think I've seen a Scan of "THE SOCKER" variation.

Yes I believe so Richard. Some records are difficult when you don't have them in your hands, due to such practice. I haven't seen all of the Counterfeits/Boots of Eddie Foster in the flesh, but I well remember being caught out by a copy of Velvet Satins with PB in the Deadwax back in the day. I paid good money for a Counterfeit. It was the 70s and we have probably all been caught out over the years. That disaster stopped here with me, lesson learned. I would never pass it on to anyone else, not my style so took the hit and still have It as a reminder.

Hope yours is an Original Jim. However It is a minefield but your description does tick a few boxes. A friend of mine in the 70s had the Boot on a Light Blue Label. I travelled to Kings Lynn and for a few quid more bought the Original from Soul Bowl with just the Titles scratched in the Deadwax. Anyone else using places like this ended up with an Original, not In great quantity but they're out there somewhere here in 2013.

My first shelves were bought ready built, ended up years later building to my own specifications using contiboard. Designing from scratch It took me and my Son a day putting them together , measuring etc. Custom built and definitely worth the trouble as I managed to create strong shelves that also allow air to circulate at the back of them, floor to ceiling.

I believe that the song titles one may be rarer. Guessing same pressing plant though not 100% sure.

Hi Dave Yes, I remember this being discussed on Hitsville forum. It is strange that Warner Bros decided to release it in other countries and not in USA. Makes me wonder how this happened when many tracks were simply unreleased and left in the Vaults. If there was no airplay in the USA then that wasn't the driving force behind the UK & German release. The track must have been known by someone at the time or heard somewhere to request its release. Therefore Master Tapes must have been used as no disc available to Dub from. It's a bit Unusual to say the least. Could be a quality issue as you mention. As for a copy turning up on Loma ? Agree that you can never say never in the collecting world.

That is a shame as there's very little on the Internet regarding these two releases, hence the question. As Bob & Earl left their mark in the 60s and Loma & Mirwood are well known labels, I'm surprised that more Isn't known.

Wasn't aware of that As both appear on Label Listings, they must have been shelved as a release quite early. It would be Incredible if after all these years a copy was to turn up, I must admit. Have these now been 100% sorted as not there in any form, either Loma or Mirwood.

The A Side Label also has very slight differences the the Credits on "MICKEY'S EAST COAST JERK" Notice the position of the Time 2:40 In relation to the Dist. by Malynn. I wonder why there were two separate visits to the printers for the "A Side" ?
