  1. One of the first records that I bought through the post at the start of my collection. No DEMO Exists for the UK Copy as far as I'm aware. I've still to see the NOLA DEMO, Is it a White DEMO like "I caught You In A Lie" ? I have asked this question before and looks like we'll never be 100% sure but; I have a few different coloured labels for the U.S.A. Release on NOLA not sure which was first Could It be a regional thing / different pressing plant? or different run at a later time. Either way, more to collect I suppose. VINYL VINYL VINYL VINYL VINYL STYRENE
  2. MONARCH PRESS : No Number Under LOGO Stamped Matrix on "B Side"
  3. I have recently bought these two Styrene press Label Variations for The "In" Crowd. They appear to be Columbia press in style though don't have ZTSC, ZTSB or ZTSP Stamp The strange thing is that they all look the same at a glance until you study them. When I first started collecting I bought the DEMO and the Stock Copy thinking that was it. How wrong I was. There's at least 5 different Stock Copies on Charger It's one of the first records I bought in 1969 yet here in 2013 I discover that there's potentially more to learn about this release. The Monarch and Hollywood Press has the CR-1012 Matrix for THE "IN" CROWD and CR-1012 45x132 for BE A MAN Whereas these have CR-1011 Matrix for THE "IN" CROWD and CR-1012 for BE A MAN Does anyone know why there is a difference with the Matrix. STYRENE PRESS : CR 1011 Matrix CRG - 105 at bottom of Label CR-1011 (1B)--------------------------------CR-1012 (1C) STYRENE PRESS : CR 1011 Matrix CRG - 105 at side of Label CR-1011 (1A)--------------------------------CR 1012 -1E
  4. Another release showing Different Text Variation
  5. Here's the Pink DEMO & Large Text Copy
  6. I would say that It Isn't that easy to find on DEMO, Plus different pressing plants Involved. I have seen a few different Label Variations for this on Stock Copy so are there other DEMO Variations ? MONARCH PRESS : For Instance, I believe that there should be a DEMO for the West Coast Monarch. I haven't seen one but see no reason why It shouldn't be there. Could be a White DEMO, may be a coloured DEMO same as Stock Copy but with PLUG SIDE, PROMOTIONAL etc on Label.
  7. ITALY : Uses the Older Label Design, Same Deadwax as UK Two different Picture Cover and Label Variations
  8. Update, not sure in which order they were Issued. Finally found a copy.
  9. Here we are Rich, not sure in which order they were Issued.
  10. If your copy said "Salvation" Rich then there must be 5 Different alternate sides for CHARAY 89 My copy says "The Iron Horse", I'll scan the copies that I have and post them up.
  11. The Men From Macon - Salvation took years to find, It's not even called Salvation on my copy. The reason why this has been such a Mystery for all these years I suspect is due to It's rarity. Same as Rita Lee or Cressa Watson
  12. CHARAY 89 The Men From Macon - Has about 4 Different titles coupled with The Soul Of A Man, I have 3 of them.
  13. As Pete has already mentioned, 74 / 75 Press looks to be from the same source as this BOOT
  14. Very Sad News. R.I.P. Bobby Bland
  15. Very Sad News R.I.P. Mary
  16. Looking at the Style of the Labels I believe that the plates used were Mastered at Monarch, hence the Delta # and MR stamp in the Deadwax. Then Pressed at different pressing plants. EAST COAST : "Arp" The style of the Label would Suggest an "Arp" Press for your DEMO EAST Coast. The Left and Right Justification on the Credits always a clue thanks to the printer. The Text lined up against a Straight edge. MIDWEST : Many Thanks to Information from RobbK WEST COAST : Monarch Press
  17. Yes Pete, same here. Strings A Go Go.
  18. Some cover up names have stuck over the years. I have the LP Total Eclipse with the 6 O'clock track yet I still think of it as Supertime for some reason when I hear it.
  19. Very Sad News Condolences to his Family and Friends. R.I.P.
  20. In 2013 I find myself collecting from around the world where Picture Sleeves are more common. We certainly missed out regarding Picture Sleeves here in the UK. The start of my collection came from a few Stateside Records that my Mother bought from the Charts. The same records from Holland to compare.
  21. I have also seen a copy of the one below that had "PLUG SIDE" which I believe would be the DEMO for that Label Variation. There has been a Scan posted of this a few years ago but I can't locate it at the moment.
