  1. I agree Derek It would be brilliant to travel back to the time when they were active. Here's another ALLSTATE. UNITED RECORD DIST. I had to take a photo rather than a scan in order to pick out the vibrant orange sticker.
  2. Yes thanks Peter, hope you are too. The records are as I received them and I would normally go for a pristine label. Stickers or Stamps placed around the time of release for promotion I don't mind seeing.
  3. Not sure if the Radio Station or Rep would have stamped "THIS SIDE PLEASE"
  4. Howard Bedno - Music promoter in '50s, '60s
  5. The two above have a "COAST TO COAST" stamp on them.
  6. We all must have records with sticker removal marks and tears. However, there are certain Stickers that I either don't mind being on the label or expect to find. I have seen a few Hollywood press Charger for The "In" Crowd and would expect to find the sticker still attached.
  7. Thanks for this Information Robb. As a collector this Information is invaluable.
  8. I have this press STYRENE with raised "X" in the Deadwax Allied of Hollywood
  9. They certainly do look stunning. Nice copies to own.
  10. I almost bid on this one. Original West Coast Monarch. Delta # There is also a White DEMO Monarch. BOTH Extremely rare. A loverly record to own on any Label Variation MAK and your copy perfectly OK. Here is the White DEMO that I have in my collection. and a Silver Stock copy They are from different pressing plants. Regarding the other Gold Label I have World Without Sunshine on this Variation. No problem with any copy on this thread so far. Not booted as far as I am aware.
  11. Just adding to Information from 3 Years ago. Here are the scans as I have since found a copy for my collection. It is the next number on from The Mad Lads Red & White pictured earlier in the thread. By no means an easy find are these Red & White DEMOs.
  12. Many different Variations can be found. EAST COAST : "Arp" WEST COAST : MONARCH
  13. As already mentioned, they are from different pressing plants. The top DEMO I can Identify as an EAST COAST : "ARP"
  14. ORIGINAL COPIES are STYRENE
  15. ORIGINAL COPIES are STYRENE In the case of ROY HANDY STP-334 Both DEMO & Stock Copy have Identical Deadwax. Both are on STYRENE and are Scratched - "ZTSC-107536" With " T I " 180 degrees, scratched in the Deadwax. Deadwax Width approx 14mm I don't know if this will help further, but when you hold to the light Exactly where the "6" is scratched there is a slight, but noticable dimple in the STYRENE. Also a very Tiny Dot/Dimple Under the "C-" where the ZTSC-107536 is Scratched. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------* 70s Repro * ------------* 70s Repro * The Repro is on Vinyl, Is a different shade of Green, Scratched Matrix, and the DEADWAX Width is about 8mm. The Vinyl is quite Pitted when held to the light. The Boot has "ZTSC-103536" Scratched in the Deadwax. Instead of "ZTSC-107536"
  16. Very Sad News. R.I.P. Joe
  17. The Larue Doin' The Popcorn The Shotgun The Shotgun and The Duck The Duck The Phillie Philly Dog
  18. The first DEMO had The Pearl & Karate-Boo-Ga-Loo reversed as the matrix was wrong. So as you say it would be quite annoying if trying to promote Karate-Boo-Ga-Loo and it played The Pearl. Looks like it was noticed after the first run and changed but some leaked out, hence my copy. I've always wanted the DEMO then I ended up buying a second copy when I noticed the Matrix had been changed in the Deadwax.
  19. Yes, it's always been a favourite of mine. Not sure if this affected it's airplay at the time. So pleased they got it right in the end and we were able to hear it in the UK. One of the first records I bought as a Stock Copy on London.
  20. I have been filling in a few gaps in the collection recently. I knew that there had been a mix-up with the Matrix. Only just discovered that they made two DEMOs. The first plays the wrong sides as the Stamped Matrix is wrong. The second plays the correct sides and the Stamped Matrix has been altered.
  21. Another Genius passes. Very Sad News. Responsible for so many of the records we love. R.I.P. Arthur
