  1. Nowhere near as expensive, though still difficult to find. Here is a Mary Wells release TD-85 ARGENTINA :
  2. I don't mind a little DJ Grafitti if it appears to be from the period of release. Somebody's name would somehow be worse. It is a personal thing and so nice to get clean labels but it isn't too bad as marks go.
  3. This one from Soul Bowl in the 70s
  4. Loverly West Coast Stock Copy there mate. Since my original post I have managed to track down an East Coast Stock Copy - Neither are easy on Stock Copy.
  5. Think it sounds OK. Especially as you say that it has the matrix. Difficult without a scan and I can't off the top of my head remember if this has ever been booted. What kind of "Bestway" or "B" press is it. Paper label or printed to direct to the styrene. (i.e. Dark Blue colour).
  6. I have done my best to get a decent image of that stamp which appears on both the East and West Coast deadwax. It is situated to the left of the scratched number pictured above. It looks to me to be a faint image of an "Audio Matrix" stamp.
  7. I have scanned both scratched matrix numbers on my copies to compare. Exactly the same place in the Deadwax and looks to be by the same hand. EAST COAST : WEST COAST : MONARCH Plus Delta # 59686-X on the Monarch etc as Robb has already said
  8. I have seen a few Chubby Checker titles and bought this one. The others were the usual "Dance Craze" titles. It would be nice to think that there may be other northern Cameo or Parkway stuff by him or other artists.
  9. I always thought that The High Keys was released at the changover period from Black Label to Blue Label and respective Demo's. Yellow and Light Blue. There are different pressing plants involved.
  10. I have this one, not seen many red ones Ian
  11. I have just picked this one up from CANADA. It has the same style of sticker with slightly different proportions. It is a U.S.A press, just wondering if some Brunswick were Promoted that way in certain areas when DEMO copies were not to hand.
  12. No info to hand about any BOOT or markings. Regarding ORIGINALS I have a STYRENE DEMO & VINYL Stock Copy Next to the mark " " there is a faint "MUSIC CITY" stamp in the deadwax on both sides of my copies. STYRENE VINYL
  13. I have reposted my Original scans Plus the Re-Issue below
  14. The Chambers Brothers also did a version. I had just edited my original post. As I haven't seen The Wire I am just guessing.
  15. Possibly The Fiestas on Old Town or VIGOR The VIGOR version has Johnny Otis credits and is more uptempo than the Old Town version. Could also be The Chambers Brothers version.
  16. Thanks Peter. Not sure how soon after the Initial release the "Special Rush Reservice" was done or why. Have seen others throughout the catalogue where this happens rather than reprint / press the same DEMO format. SINGAPORE :
  17. As mentioned above Originals have Delta # 56960 in the Deadwax This one is an ORIGINAL Black Lined Variation with Detla # 56960 & 56960 X STYRENE MONARCH With a Matt Black Label. This one is the 70s Press Black Lined Variation with Delta # 99069-X & 99069 STYRENE MONARCH With a Black Label. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Apart from the obvious difference via the Delta # The -X Denotes the "B Side" on a Monarch Press. (Notice on this Black Lined 70s press Delta # 99069 the Deadwax suggests "Tainted Love" is the "A Side") It has Delta # 99069-X for "My Bad Boy's Comin'Home" which would be wrong.
  18. The different variations are there throughout the Mirwood Catalogue. It can sometimes help looking for similarities of layout when assessing the rarer stuff by scan only. Different pressing plants and printers very often followed their own style beyond the labels logo.
  19. As I mentioned earlier, most releases have at least two DEMO variations and Stock Copy. Here is the other variation to the one currently on ebay.
  20. Found that most releases have at least two DEMO variations and Stock Copy. Never seen Block Print issues though. Amazed to find Double "A Side and A/B Side" MONARCH DEMOs for 5523. Making three DEMO variations so far and even more Stock Copy Variations. Always gave me hope of finding a My Little Girl DEMO 5511 but alas one probably doesn't exist. MONARCH : DELTA # 62723 = BABY, DO THE PHILLY DOG DELTA # 62740 = WESTERN MOVIES STYRENE STYRENE STYRENE ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- STYRENE STYRENE ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- VINYL This one does have the Monarch Delta # even though it is Vinyl. Slightly different Label Layout to Styrene Monarch. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Guessing there's a DEMO out there for the Pressing Plant below. VINYL
  21. Is that DEMO or Stock Copy Trev. I reckon if any Stock Copies are out there they would be Vinyl for the Block Print. East coast press as Robb suggests.
  22. Top two are STYRENE and bottom one Vinyl of these Stock Copies. All three have Monarch DELTA # 59032 whereas the two DEMOs don't have THE delta # I believe the two DEMOs pictured above are definitely from the same stamper or pressing plant.
  23. I bought the top DEMO from Soul Bowl very early 70s, the Script version quite recently. Both have Identical deadwax, Vinyl label sheen and feel etc.
  24. An extremely Rare copy Credited to The Tempos. It was an Auction Item on Manships a few years ago as I recall.
