  1. As said others may differ but I am one of those collectors that would pay a lot more than £9 for such an item. Well done. I'm pleased for you.
  2. You can always get another Silver Top. Where are you ever going to find another like this one.
  3. Every collector has different ideas about such mis pressed records. If it was my copy I certainly wouldn't send it back. I would love to own it.
  4. Yes Chalky Roddie Joy - Come Back Baby The Butterflys - I Wonder Both have a Faint Audio Matrix The 3 Styrene below I have a Leader Of The Pack DEMO with Monarch and Audio Matrix The Dixie Cups Chapel Of Love with Monarch, Audio Matrix and Bell Sound Shangri-las I Can Never Go Home Any More / Sophisticated Boom Boom with simply a Raised X
  5. The actual bird and guitar appear to have been printed in red and then over printed black on the guitar leaving a red glow down one side. I don't think that I have seen this on others.
  6. Yes I know that. My point was that very often when bootlegs or counterfiets are made the quality lacks in one way or another. I was looking to more common records for comparison of manufacture. Vinyl and Styrene.
  7. Just had a quick look through my collection. Even though they may be different pressing plants and quite common records, the quality of printing and position of logo are spot on. Vinyl Styrene Vinyl Styrene

I will have to check but I'm almost certain that each run at the pressing plant had G R A M etc following the letters in the word G R A M O P H O N E as part of this coding. ( edited, see next post )
  10. ORIGINAL WHITE DEMO & RED STOCK COPY as already mentioned above. 70s REPRO :
  11. I have updated my matrix scans for this press. ORIGINAL COUNTERFEIT
  12. I have always thought of this region as the Eastern part of America as it is situated to the East. I didn't know that it has been classed as Midwest. Thanks for clarifying Robb. I shall amend my notes.
  13. It would appear that the "Arp" Pressing Plant pressed quite a few Double A Side Stock Copy Labels. I have quite a few on Black Vinyl plus this one on Red Vinyl I always assumed that they were intended for some kind of promotion. EAST COAST : "Arp" Double A Side Stock Copy EAST COAST : "Arp" Double A Side Stock Copy EAST COAST : "Arp" Double A Side Stock Copy
  14. MO = Monarch press BW = Bestway press SP = Specialty records PL = Plastic products As used by Atlantic denoting pressing plant. There is a full list at Anoraks Corner

  18. Yes, these are the East Coast label variation That West Coast DEMO is quite difficult to find in my experience. I have never personally seen a West Coast Stock Copy.
  19. JESSICA JAMES And The OUTLAWS were Peggy Santiglia on lead with Bernadette Carroll, Denise Ferri and Lou Christie. Peggy Santiglia formally lead singer of The Angels.
  20. DJ and Stock copies are about. Not sure if one is easier to find than the other regards price difference.
  21. Here's a couple of those already mentioned.
  22. This is my copy. That Coloured West Coast Monarch DEMO looks very nice.
  23. Nothing wrong with the matrix as I can see. Your DEMO has Identical matrix to my Stock Copy with same label variation. Quite a Rare find in 2016
  24. Derek Try this link above. Most pages still working for me at the moment.
  25. I would be happy with it in my collection. The scan leaps out to me as a West Coast press. As stated already there should be the Delta number in the deadwax.
