  1. Pleased you like them, so much raw energy, the studio/venue must have been like a pressure vessel. I'd have loved to have been there live
  2. Hi Rich Just in case you haven't seen them I found these on You Tube last night. /index.php?showtopic=32139
  3. Hurts So Good Ask Me What You Want Millie Jackson - My Man, A Sweet Man Millie Jackson - Hypocrisy
  4. Here are a couple from Tina - Darlene Love & The Blossoms - the backing singers. Then things changed a little! Explosive Stuff! I would have liked to see - SOMEBODY (SOMEWHERE) NEEDS YOU - on Video but hey
  5. Sad news indeed You are right when you said, " If you know the name but don't necessarily know from where" - Although not 100% sure, my thoughts immediatalely drifted to Swan Records when I heard the name, I knew I had seen it somewhere, I read on and it was of course confirmed.
  6. Hi All As I posted this a couple of weeks ago, I can only assume that the RED STOCK COPY with the correct title doesn't exist. GEORGE CARROW must have wondered if the record would have been more successful had it been correctly titled fist time around. The mistake appears to have hindered the records chances until of course it was picked up by us and then released on the Grey Stock Copy
  7. Hi I know that your question has now been answered. As I had already scanned them I thought it would show the different label variation on the Eloise Laws copy compared to yours. BOTH are STYRENE - The MS 1002 DJ - Same as yours (B' Side) "Sliced Tomatoes"
  8. Hi Pete Sorry for late reply but I'm on nights Just the Titles & No Number on mine. Everything that I bought at the time from the same dealer, has been the real deal, I have no reason to doubt this copy. For instance, I bought The Tomangoes around the same time - and it has the "Nashvile Matrix", I certainly didn't know at the time that it should have. Back then on the lists they were described as Original - (we didn't have much in the way of guides back then) - and as I say they have proved through time to be Original as described. Everything about the record looks and feels right, the print quality, the vinyl etc I could go on, but you know what I mean. I wonder if 2 runs were made at the plant with the numbers added to the master later?
  9. Hi Pete Mine is Definately an Original, it is Dark Blue Silver Writing Deadwax only has "I NEVER KNEW" scratched in on the A & "I WILL WAIT" on the B I bought mine from Soul Bowl in the mid 1970's, I hope this helps
  10. Another Great, doing his stuff. Still awesome today.
  11. Hi Pete One of my all time favourites, Brilliant, Thanks
  12. Hi Pete Well worth the wait, I've never seen them before, Brilliant stuff ... Thanks
  13. Hi Pete Brilliant, thanks again
  14. Hi Pete Thanks for taking the time and making these fascinating videos available, much appreciated. Joanie Sommers, Barbara McNair, The Superbs, The Mad Lads & Now The Chiffons. Brilliant to see them after all these years

  18. Hi As far as I know, only a handful of tracks have made it onto CD and you have to buy various CD's to get them. What happened to "Ric-Tic Relics" has that album ever made it to CD? STML 11232 A Side 1 Edwin Starr - Agent Double O Soul (Instrumental) 2 J. J. Barnes - I Ain't Gonna Do It 3 Laura Lee - To Win Your Heart 4 San Remo Golden Strings - Hungry For Your Love 5 Edwin Starr - Stop Her On Sight (S.O.S.) 6 Mark III Trio - G'Wan (Go On) 7 J. J. Barnes - Say It 8 Edwin Starr - Back Street B Side 1 J. J. Barnes - Real Humdinger 2 Al Kent - You Gotta Pay The Price 3 Edwin Starr - Harlem 4 J. J. Barnes - Day Tripper 5 San Remo Golden Strings - Festival Time 6 Fantastic Four - Can't Stop Looking For My Baby 7 J. J. Barnes - Please Let Me In 8 Al Kent - Ooh Pretty Lady I can't say that I have ever seen one. A CD dedicated to Ric-Tic & A CD dedicated to Golden World etc - Long Overdue In My Opinion. If they simply released every A & B'Side on Multiple CD's - They couldn't miss.
  19. Hi Thanks for that, as I say, other than a scan, I haven't seen one.
  20. I have in my collection these George Carrow - On Columbia -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- George Carrow - ANGEL BABY ( You Don't Even Love Me ) - BRING BACK MY HEART - Columbia 4-44161 (WHITE DEMO) - (INCORRECT TITLE) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- George Carrow - ANGEL BABY ( You Don't Even Love Me ) - BRING BACK MY HEART - Columbia 4-44161 (RED STOCK COPY) - (INCORRECT TITLE) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- George Carrow - ANGEL BABY ( Don't You Ever Leave Me ) - ANGEL BABY ( Don't You Ever Leave Me ) - Columbia 4-44161 - (WHITE DEMO) - ( SPECIAL RUSH RESERVICE ) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- George Carrow - ANGEL BABY ( Don't You Ever Leave Me ) - BRING BACK MY HEART - Columbia 4-44161 (GREY STOCK COPY) - 70's -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have been trying to find out; Does a 60's RED STOCK COPY exist with the Correct Title? Does anyone know? I posted this question about 2 Months ago on Hitsville Soul Club Of America https://www.hitsvillesoulclub.com/Forums/Topic1143-7-1.aspx Between us, so far, we can't confirm it's existance. The Incorrect Title RED STOCK COPY is extremely rare and I have always sort of assumed that the correct spelling RED STOCK COPY therefore must be more common. To go through the whole saga of producing the first DEMO & RED STOCK COPY, and then WITHDRAWING it due to the INCORRECT TITLE and then producing the RUSH RESERVICE WDJ does seem a lot of trouble to go to if they didn't follow it all up with the correctly Titled RED STOCK COPY. Regards Roger
