Hi Dave I haven't seen a Demures - Stock Copy Either. Certain records you sort of expect to be there, and through time It becomes apparent that they were never issued. The only way of possibly finding out is to ask on Forums like ours. As we both know, It's a slow process tracking down the Existance of some of the Ric-Tic White DEMO's. I hope someone can prove me wrong with this and provide a scan, I've searched and never found one, nothing on PopSike only DEMO's. Was it a common practice to record an Instrumental / Backing Track, made with a view to someone laying a Vocal on top and thus offered around the various labels. ( as a way of cutting cost ) As I said In the original post, there are many examples of this happening which suited the Northern Instrumental Phase in the 70's Or when first issued in the 60's were Instrumentals generally popular in their own right & regarded as the finished performance, released, possibly after the Vocals success.
