  4. 10461 refosoul -Nothing can compare to you - The Velvet Satins - Time Only 1:55 - Classic - Floorfiller-
  5. Hi Thanks for posting this, I bought this many years ago. Excellent and not too Expensive. There is a Vocal, as I'm sure you know, well worth checking out.
  6. Hi Although I had started, by borrowing my Mothers Records- Motown, The First one that I remember buying; 1st - I was made To Love Her - Stevie Wonder - Tamla Motown Last - Ric-Tic 129 White DEMO Flaming Embers - Let's Have A Love In -----& Chess 1967 White DEMO - Big Maybelle - It's A Mans, Mans, World
  7. Hi Ted Wow, now that must be like "Rocking Horse Sh..!" I'd only recently seen a Canadian Copy, thought that this was DEMO only. Thanks once again Ted
  8. Hi Dave I haven't seen a Demures - Stock Copy Either. Certain records you sort of expect to be there, and through time It becomes apparent that they were never issued. The only way of possibly finding out is to ask on Forums like ours. As we both know, It's a slow process tracking down the Existance of some of the Ric-Tic White DEMO's. This is an ongoing project at HitsvilleSoulClub, If anyone can help with the missing Ric-Tic White DEMO's >> Link << This quest has been going on for a long time ......... Soul Source Post ....... >> Link << 2004 I picked this one up from Soul Bowl in the 70's <-- Some DEMO's, we believe may be Coloured DEMO Only. As we've never seen a Genuine White one .... Yet! Rather hoping that someone can help to confirm the missing DEMO's You Never stop learning, when collecting. I have discovered the existance of 2 other records Today. Just By Asking The Question on here, I can't thank them enough Not bad considering that I have been collecting 38 years. I suppose It comes down to right place right time with some records If not, you never see them. How many times I've said that I've never seen a ".........." Only to be told by someone that they had seen loads, "tripping over them mate  seen hundreds" I suppose that is what makes collecting fun ........ It's almost like "hide them, he's here" I love every minute of It, ........ Honestly I used to think that - The Star-Treks - Gonna Need Magic - Veep ---Was DEMO Only I have been told that Stock Copies Exist, However I still haven't seen one. Anyone got a scan?
  9. Hi I asked a few months ago, If anyone had seen a correctly Titled - Red Stock Copy of Columbia - George Carrow - Angel Baby Don't You Ever Leave Me - >> Link << As I had no replies to this, I can only assume that It stopped with the Special Rush Reservice DEMO & Therefore DEMO only for the Correct Title.
  10. Hi Pete Wow, That was quick, Thanks for that. It's a funny old game this collecting. I hope someone has a scan, but hey, I'm just pleased to know It exists. Another conundrum solved, thanks, I thought that there should be a Stock Copy. It was really confusing me as to why I had never seen one. I suppose some records Just never cross your path, strange Isn't It, Because I've been collecting 38 years I've just thought of another DEMO only - I haven't got this one, suppose I never will Chubby Checker - You Just Don't Know - Parkway
  11. Hi Even though It was only Issued with the LP, Technically The Silhouettes - Not Me Baby - Goodway & has anyone seen a Stock Copy of Dana Valery - You Don't Know Where Your Interest Lies - Columbia I'm sure I haven't, There is the rarer White & Black DEMO but? I hope someone can prove me wrong with this and provide a scan, I've searched and never found one, nothing on PopSike only DEMO's. If I am correct, The next question would be, why 2 DEMO's & no Stock Copy?
  12. Hi Originally, The Carstairs - It Really Hurts Me Girl - Red Coach
  13. Hi There is currently a debate about The Stemmons Express, The Precisions, and which version is best. >> Link<< The Stemmons Express, The Precisions & Timmy Willis all sang to the same backing track / Instrumental. Was it a common practice to record an Instrumental / Backing Track, made with a view to someone laying a Vocal on top and thus offered around the various labels. ( as a way of cutting cost ) As I said In the original post, there are many examples of this happening which suited the Northern Instrumental Phase in the 70's Or when first issued in the 60's were Instrumentals generally popular in their own right & regarded as the finished performance, released, possibly after the Vocals success.
  14. I have to agree with you here, Stemmons Express hits it just right, with that lyric - "When she touches down in Memphis, I'll be there" Magic. I like Timmy Willis version & The Precisions, but Stemmons Express give a faultless performance on this.
  15. Re: Mint Back Beat 609 DJ with sound clip>> Link << ----------Hound Dog / Can Feel A Heartbreak --ANYONE KNOW WHO SHE IS SINGING WITH, ON Hound Dog
  16. Hi Jock I hadn't heard this one but once again, I've had a scout around and John has a Mint Back Beat 601 with sound clip >> Link << As you quite rightly say, "Stuff" Isn't Northern

  20. Hi The Supremes - "Little Bright Star" Same backing track as Tammi Terrell - "I Can't Go On Without You" & Phil Spector - Christmas Album
  21. Earl Wright - Thumb A Ride SAXIE RUSSELL - PSYCHEDELIC SOUL
  22. Hi Although apparently not too rare, I still look out for the odd Canadian Issue. After all, the chances of me finding a Money DEMO or UK CBS of Bettye Swann for the right price is slim. I think that they hold a certain appeal, and are not too expensive. The Bettye Swann on APEX cost me $11 and I'm happy with that. Surely this is rarer than the Money Stock Copy in my collection, I have to say It's one of my favourite records, never loses It, & I never tire of It. Proof If any were needed that you don't have to pay a lot for a Top Class Sound. The Canadian Cameo of Dee Dee Sharp wasn't dear either. Another Favourite Sound Apparently there's a White DEMO for C-347 as well as The Red & The Yellow One. I don't know about the C-382 DEMO as I haven't seen one yet or whether a UK Issue or DEMO Exists for this title? There has been much debate over this, has anyone EVER seen a UK copy? :search: Last but not least, what a terrific double sider this is. Why not Invest in the Canadian Copy?
  23. Hi I've just had a look on Manship's. £300 for Mill Evans When I'm Ready - Tou -sea DEMO £20 for Get on Up & Get Away Album - (Bargain)
  24. Hi Mark I mainly collect 45's, but this is one of those albums that I had to buy. Definitely keeping It in the collection - It's Brilliant
