  1. Unfortunately, that is true and in order to complete this label and a couple of others. I will have to break my golden rule. I have in almost all cases liked the records that I have bought.
  2. Hi Miff What a wonderful Label Golden World is, Apart from possibly the Ric-Tic Relics album - I don't believe that an album or CD has ever been issued as a tribute to Ed Wingates labels. I suppose that is due to Motown buying them out, It would still be nice to see one made available.
  3. Hey!! - Barbra Mercer - Golden World 2292 refosoul
  4. I Love The Life I Live (And Live The Life I Love) - tony michaels - golden world 12922 refosoul
  5. Hungry For Love - san remo golden strings - golden world - ric-tic 12921 refosoul
  6. Hi Miff I'm Spellbound - Tamiko Jones - Golden World 11112 refosoul I have only ever seen one Stock Copy and that was a scan, always the White DEMO On the other hand, I've never seen a DEMO for GW-27, although my Stock Copy does have a "FOR DEMONSTRATION USE ONLY - NOT FOR SALE" Sticker on It. Although I know that it exists, the opposite with the Tony Michaels (Vocal) all White DEMO's I have seen a Stock Copy scan. I can't provide a sound file at the moment, I used the spellbound soundclip uploaded by Miff
  7. Hi Miff The Carl Carlton, appeared on the Soul Bowl lists a few times, if I remember correctly. I'm suprised that it is as hard to find as The Adorables.
  8. Hi Van McCoy at work here, another Top Golden World tune from Barbara Mercer. I'll post some more Golden World up Later
  9. Hi Miff I wish I had mate, I bought these from the main Soul Bowl list many years ago, The Adorables was on for one week and described as rare even back then. I don't know how many they had, but to appear on the Main list normally meant that they had a few copies, which obviously should mean that they are out there somewhere. I'm not sure why some Golden World numbers are harder to find than others. Some are harder on Stock Copy (Tamiko Jones for instance) and some harder on White DEMO Golden World along with others, Ric-Tic, Mirwood etc are labels that I would like one day to complete, but as time goes on I suppose I may be unsuccessful. I did buy spares on some titles, but not these unfortunately.
  10. Hi All I often wondered what it meant, thanks for the information. This forum is brilliant
  11. Hi Ken Edwin Starr, another artist that didn't make a bad record. How we miss him. Edwin Starr - Way Over There - Gordy 3770 refosoul
  12. Hi Baz Ain't it always the case, 38 years searching for a certain record and never see one. Someone else thinks it's a common find The pleasures of collecting I suppose
  13. Hi Baz When I was single, I spent almost ALL of my wages just about on records. My intention in those days was to try for the DEMO & Stock Copy of everything I could afford. Where possible I post both, pleased that you like the double scans. I wish that I had bought other Darrow Fletcher as these are the only ones I have of his. As you quite rightly say, I don't think he made a bad record.
  14. Another Wonderful Detroit Label Here's two more - from Golden World The Adorables - Ooh Boy - Golden World 1977 refosoul Carl Carlton Nothin' No Sweeter Than Love - Golden World 2884"]
  15. Hi Miff Money well spent, a Brilliant record.
  16. Don't ya just love the White DEMO, THEY LOOK SUPERB!
  17. Thanks, I believe the Gold Labels are possibly the 1st Issue / Batch - Followed by the Silver for 402
  18. Hi Dave Thanks for that, Your site is an Incredible source of Information. It actually states, Sue on BROADWAY 403, but not on 402, however I assume that every Broadway release was a subsidiary of Sue. You Succeeded - sandra phillips - broadway 12880 refosoul World Without Sunshine - sandra phillips - broadway 12881 refosoul
  19. Hi I'm not sure if it was played out, but here is a scan. I'll try to get a soundclip uploaded, however my record deck isn't near the computer at the moment. I don't have "She's Ready", only these. "Baby What I Mean" Judging by the 4-44442 Number, appears to be one of their first releases.
  20. Hi There were also Subsidiary Labels (i.e. Broadway - A Division of Sue Records)
  21. Hi Ken Thanks, I haven't heard that for a while. It's good to listen to them after all these years. I originally bought this for the other side "THE DUCK"
  22. Hi Ken I believe one is Vinyl & one Styrene - The one in your scan looks like the Vinyl. I've seen a couple of DEMO's, I might try for one.
  23. Hi Ken Yes, Thanks for Posting this, first time I've heard it too.
