  1. Perfect, Another Amazing record from Betty LaVette
  2. Love This .... another B Side
  3. I've always liked these
  4. When I found my White DEMO in the 70's, there were 2 copies together, AND both have the RED X'S on the Label, same as your scan. I wonder if anyone has a clean copy. I found the Stock Copy at the Same Time as the DEMO's. One thing that is odd about the Romur Label is the Numbering System. The B Side of the U.K. BEACON Is "RECIPE FOR LOVE" which is of course the B Side of "Be's That Way Sometimes" on Romur. Imagine if they had chosen "Be's That Way Sometimes" for the B Side of the U.K. Issue Instead I have scanned just 2 of the label colours on U.K. BEACON
  5. Hi Ted Thanks for that. Is the Bunky Copy a One Off, OR have more copies ever turned up.
  6. Hi Here is the Stock Copy which has 1966 on the Label The White DEMO is Rarer and has 1967 on the Label. I have never seen a 1966 DEMO or a 1967 Stock Copy. I am told that they are both slightly different mixes.
  7. (DO THE) DISCOTHEQUE
  8. Hi AMY 981 is Styrene with a "B" Matrix STAMPED in the Deadwax Has the Labels Reversed There are two DEMO's, one of which does look like a Stock Copy from the "TOO DARN SOULFUL" side. However, it has "PLUG SIDE" on the "YOU DON'T LOVE ME ANYMORE" Side. 981 Is a styrene Monarch & Delta # 65704 on one side & 65704-X the other. The strange thing is (considering that the other DEMO has the Labels Reversed) is that the PLUG SIDE has 65704-X. The -X following a Delta Number, normally denotes the B Side?
  9. Hi I thought that I would repeat this post, I don't own the Blue Amy Stock Copy. Got to be one of the Rarest Stock Copies There are two DEMO's, one of which does look like a Stock Copy from the "TOO DARN SOULFUL" side. AMY 981 is Styrene with a "B" Matrix STAMPED in the Deadwax Has the Labels Reversed The Blue Label AMY Stock copy is the rarest and hardest to obtain. A Friend of mine had this years ago, the only time I've seen one, other than a scan. I've got both DEMO's in the collection, the Blue AMY Stock Copy is virtually impossible, hope you find one. The Blue AMY scan below is from Popsike.com https://www.popsike.com/php/quicksearch.php...x=0&y=0 IT'S ALWAYS WORTH A LOOK ON POPSIKE.COM WHEN VALUING RECORDS
  10. Hi Thanks, I didn't know that. I wonder, does that mean with him co-writing it that "A Love Reputation" was issued first. Thanks Again
  11. Hi Mel I like them both, but I think that "Just Like The Weather" is perfect, Never tire of listening to it.
  12. Anyone know the story of these releases. Constellation - Bunky, Tarpon - Chess - same backing track. Why the Bunky is a one off? , which was issued first, etc
  13. I bought this one off ebay a couple of years ago. Actually plays "Keep Off, No Tresspassing" both sides. I don't know how many were like this with the Globe Tamla, or whether there are any "Here I Am Baby" both Sides. I found another which is a Monarch West Coast TAMLA, it plays "Here I Am", both sides as expected. It makes me wonder if they considered "Keep Off, No Tresspassing as the "A Side"
  14. Thanks, I remember seeing them years ago but couldn't remember the titles.
  15. Hi Ted I think that they're both hard to find, i've also seen the other design label, which may be even rarer.
  16. I know that I've posted this a couple of times before, but it fits this thread. Some DEMO's/Stock Copies HAVE "MEND THE BROKEN PIECES" on the Label Mend The Torn Pieces - Yvonne Baker And The Sensation - 8875 refosoul
  17. I can't remember the numbers, but a couple of the early SOUL Label Singles came out with AMY MALA BELL at the bottom of the Label. Some were blanked out, some not.
  18. There is George Carrow -----------------?----------------- As yet no RED Stock Copy with the correct title.
  19. Hi There is also "LEO'S MOOD" Stock Copy & "TWO MANY FISH IN THE SEA" Stock Copy - I'm not sure if there are DEMO's. I have these two for Tamla T-54105, both are slightly different but have the correct Title, so it might just be the Stock Copies.
  20. Hi I got these from Soul Bowl, however I believe that the Blue Lettering WARREN Stock Copy is the rare one. I'll Always Love You - Sam Moultrie - 10255"]
  21. Hi John I would like to see a Star-Treks Stock Copy. Here is the other Cindy Scott mentioned. Time Can Change A Love - Cindy Scott - 3140 refosoul
  22. Hi Pottsy Thanks for that, always good to know.
  23. Hi Mac I'm not sure on price, my copy is a DEMO, although someone has removed (rubbed out) the writing. In Your Spare Time - Cindy Scott - 7743 refosoul Personally I haven't seen a Stock Copy for this. The next number is The Star-Treks, I am told that a Stock Copy exists for this one although again I haven't seen one. Which leads me to suggest that the Stock Copy is rarer.
  24. Hi Ted Your Stock Copy is the only one I've ever seen.
  25. I had heard that there were a few different ones. I don't know if they all have, my copy has "Bell Sound" & "Nashville Matrix" STAMPED on both sides.
