  1. Hi Mobbsy The Next In Line - Hoagy Lands - Laurie - 4422 refosoul My copy is Vinyl with "U 4KM-0901 - -1 A" Stamped in the Vinyl. If you follow this >>> Link <<< You will see that this record has been discussed before. There is the Styrene DEMO Scan on this Link and the owner stated that it is rarer than the Vinyl & I agree. However the Vinyl DEMO isn't easy. I hope that this helps.

  4. Hi Mel If a see a British Label, I still pounce if the funds are there, but mainly stick to Imports. The PRIME Label is the same as the Yellow one in The Twisted Wheel Story (One More Time) CD, I don't know if my copy is a DEMO, or a Label colour variation.
  5. Hi Mel I got it from Japan a couple of years back on ebay. I think it's the real deal though not 100% sure
  6. Hi Mel I moved from collecting British, to Imports, early 70's. I still love seeing the British labels though. They still have a place in my collection, but they are just so hard to find nowadays. Good that you and others are still collecting these Treasures from the U.K.

  14. Hi All Sums it up well, Col. Whatever the analogy, I'm pleased to have experienced it & I'm proud to be a part of It. Top Stuff, reflecting on what has been a success born out of many 7 inch failures. The records were in a lot of cases, even forgotten by the artist and would never have been given a second chance by the record companies. Quality deserves a second chance, has that ever happened in any other genre where the scene dictates what should be re-released, via the Northern DJ's, the dancers etc and not spoon fed with the titles the record companies want to Plug.

  21. Hi Mel In 40 years things happen to records, finding a Mint copy gets harder. The more I think about it, it never made much sense as I bought it with the replacement centre. It wasn't like record players were geared up to this. It might have been in a Jukebox I suppose. Anyway here are another two with their centres intact, not rare but Oh the memories. That's All I Want To Know - James Carr - Stateside - 4732 refosoul Break Out - Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels - Stateside 14459 refosoul
  22. Hi Mel Know what you mean about the centre, It wasn't me, It was like that when I bought it. Why did people do that. We only knew the british labels at the time. I picked this one up in a Second Hand Shop
  23. Hi Miff That was the task I set myself as a collector, Demo & Stock Copy. I gave it my best shot but now I'm older I realise It's impossible.
  24. Wonderful record, and now connected to the Funk Brothers, is that Joe Hunter on the Piano
  25. Ah! those early days of record collecting, reminds me so much of playing these down at the local Youth Club. At the time You could still expect almost to find these in Second Hand shops, if you were lucky, Happy Days You could still fill the Dance floor with these 40 years later
