  12. I thought I saw one program listed, but might be wrong. However I think that generally Soul Music gets a raw deal on the TV. James Brown was a Giant, Every performance James Brown gave was perfection, he gave so much and was an Incredible Talent, to be treated in this way is unbelievable. If he had been on some reallity TV Show I'm A - Brother or whatever they might have filled the Weekends TV Viewing watching him sleep or sitting on a couch. Another the BBC missed (Brilliant Documentary) "Standing In The Shadows Of Motown" has been on BBC4 but why not BBC1 or BBC2, especially with the recent Death of Joe Hunter. The General TV viewer probably doesn't realise the Quality Viewing that's out there regarding Soul Music. The Temptations DVD 97p at Tesco's, (Another Brilliant Film) It's been on Hallmark, SKY, but how much would that have cost in Royalties to Broadcast on a Saturday night by one of the Terrestrial TV Companies.
  13. Hi Nick I've got to say that there are a lot that I haven't seen before, but these blew me away.
  14. Hi Pete Thanks for the reply, they did go over the top, however, I see the reason now for some of the effects.
  15. I Got What It Takes (Part 1) - Brooks & Jerry - Dynamo 14519 refosoul
  16. Good that "The Strange World Of Northern Soul" was filmed. I just wish that they hadn't used those annoying effects. Hope film exists without the effects, He just caught many Artists who are no longer with us, so all in all I'm pleased that someone filmed them.
  17. A Little Piece Of Leather - Donnie Elbert - Gateway - 14467 refosoul I Got What It Takes (Part 1) - Brooks & Jerry - Dynamo 14519 refosoul

  20. Hi Melismo If it's a Delta number then with the chart you can near enough find the Month. Some of the others can be a bit trickier Another source is ANORAKS CORNER It would have helped if they had just put the year on the label. Motown did on most of there's, but usually had date of release and re-issue. The Cameo Label is awkward as they either state 1960 or 1962 on releases that are obviously later. I reckon that they may have printed far too many Label Blanks and just used them up.
  21. Hi Oh I can well believe it, the Title "Barefootin In Chinatown" was one of the titles I remember from the early 70's. This I believe is the shortened title. currently £30 (Manships) £20 Stock Copy. I never got one at the time, I recently picked this up for a few dollars. A nice early sound.
  22. Barefootin' Time - Lester Young - Barry - 14499 refosoul
  23. Hi Pete I don't know for certain, but my gut feeling is that it is very rare. Licensed by President Records doesn't give too much of a clue as to the year as President had this on their catalogue for a number of years. There are two releases on President the original with anti slip centre and the later 70's. Look after it mate, I've never ever seen one before, but it looks fantastic.
  24. See You At The "Go-Go" - Dobie Gray - PYE International - 3555 refosoul -<- Love this one The In Crowd - Dobie Gray - London - 3557 refosoul Second time out for this one "Demand Performance" Thought I would post both Shows
