  1. Another, and from one of my favourite labels too. --
  2. Love this record, will buy one when funds allow, awesome.
  3. Better Use Your Head - Little Anthony And The Imperials - Veep - 14460 refosoul Hi I've got the Octagonal Design, without the picture sleeve for Veep V-1228 and Veep V-1233 on the other design. Gonna Fix You Good (Every Time You're Bad) - Little Anthony and the Imperials - Veep - 15357 refosoul I don't know how many of the numbers came out on both designs, I know that Veep V-1234 did
  4. Bargain, brilliant even came out on British.
  5. Hi Martyn Times A Wasting - The Fuller Brothers - Soul Clock - 8130 refosoul Don't worry, It is the first release. >>> Link <<< Moaning, Groaning, And Crying - Brilliant, nice on Keymen if you can find one.
  6. Hi I've scanned my copies of SC105 & SC109 both are Promotional and both are Stamped The Cuckoo Clock Design is the first press but is very rare. The Whispers which has the same backing track, also has "Remember Me" whereas some have "Remember". Times A Wasting - The Fuller Brothers - Soul Clock - 8130 refosoul The Promatics on Jo Jo also used the same backing track >>> Link <<< to previous post about this record. (October 10 2006) I hope this helps
  7. Gotta be Rare on a DEMO
  8. Hi Miff Brilliant Version.
  9. Hi Cameo & Parkway appear to have a West Coast & an East Coast DEMO for most of their releases. I am told that there is a White DEMO for this one which I haven't seen, but if so, that would make it a 3rd DEMO for this release. CAMEO C-347 Could have happened with others I suppose. It was released again on CAMEO C-382, but I am told the C-347 has a White DEMO
  10. My Heart Your Heart - Janie Grant - Parkway - 4760 refosoul
  11. Hi Steve Sorry I got caught up with the Feint Matrix Stamp Details. The Scanned Copy Is Original, is Vinyl and has in the Deadwax Feint "Bell Sound" - "P982----P928 B" - On the "My Heart Your Heart" side Feint "Bell Sound" - "P928A---- P982-A" - On the "And That Reminds Me Of You" side I hope that this helps.
  12. Hi Steve I bought both of these from Soul Bowl in the 70's Parkway P-982 ............................................. Parkway P-983 The Janie Grant "Bell Sound" Matrix Stamp is Difficult to Detect. They appear to have sorted the problem out for the next number, which happens to be Christine Cooper.. This has "Bell Sound" firmly stamped on Both sides. However ..... I noticed that, on the Christine Cooper there is also another very faint Matrix, a little to the left of the bold "Bell Sound" possibly another "Bell Sound" very poorly stamped and very similar to the Janie Grant Matrix It almost looks like they had to replace a faulty Matrix stamp between these two issues.at the Pressing Plant. It is a Minefield - Bootleg guide is a must have.
  13. Hi Paul Quite a few here - >>> Link <<< - on this recent thread You Sexy Sugar Plum - Rodger Collins - Fantasy - 14164"] This record was big at the time, still sounds good.
  14. Don't It Make You Feel Funky - Joe Hicks - AGC - 5021 refosoul The Original is on Vinyl matrix stamped Delta 70422-X Has Black Writing on a Lighter Shade of Blue Label. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The second Issue is on Styrene Monarch Delta 100117-X Has Silver Writing on a Darker Shade of Blue Label. As Pete says the Colour is a different shade, Both have a Matrix Stamp as the Second one is also a Monarch Press. I hope that this helps There is also the Infinitely rarer AGC 2 "I Gotta Be Free" / "Don't It Make You Feel Funky" I believe that only a couple of copies are known to exist.
  15. Hi Mel Top Tune, always will be. Dance, Dance, Dance - The Casualeers - Roulette - 2954 refosoul
  16. Has anyone else encountered this, I'm not sure if it's the case everywhere. Sadly my father in law passed at Christmas, we had his funeral at the beginning of this year. The question of music to be played came up, and I was shocked to discover that they had stopped people bringing their favourite CD or tape etc Apparently, If it isn't on our vast database they said then unfortunately we can't play it. We do try and have only failed a couple of times to find someones favourite piece of music. Shocked Surely this is wrong.
  17. What Shall I Do (Spoken) - Frankie And Classicals - 1159 refosoul Moonlight Music In You - Laura Greene - RCA Victor - 5451 refosoul Honey Townsend was the Instrumental without the Animal Noises The World Again - Honey Townsend - 4440 refosoul These two had the Animal Noises The Beautiful Place - Mark Johnson - 12059 refosoul All three were B Sides, as was "What Shall I Do" & "Moonlight Music In You" This subject has been discussed before >>> Link <<< for more Information
  18. Here's the Stock Copy Mate
  19. RE: 'Records I'm Having At My Funeral' Sadly my father in law passed at Christmas, we had his funeral at the beginning of this year. 20. Hi In the Early sixties, my eldest sister bought The Beatles, The Rolling Stones etc Whereas my Mother bought Mary Wells, The Crystals, The Ronettes. Guess whos record collection started me off. At the Youth Club late 60's Soul Music was played, and eventually I took my stuff up to play. It wasn't long before I was buying more, started Work and then buying records became my favorite pastime. I then moved on to play records at The Drum. So my Mother really had the Earliest influence on my musical taste
  21. I Love "A Lovers Concerto", but "Attack" for me is one of their finest. as is "May Your Heart Be Cast Into Stone" Will we ever see their like again, awesome Girl Groups just don't cut it Nowadays. Dare I say it, Girls Aloud "C The Day" is the closest anyone has come recently.....Shame Hopefully The Dreamgirls Movie might prompt some more Soulful Artists to record, as a Girl Group.
  22. So difficult this, neglected to some extent by Motown. A sort of poor relation to the other groups as far as releases go, and then we discover the wealth of recordings on the marvelous Double CD Collection. The Motown Anthology I love The Velvelettes, but If I was pressed I would have to say Lonely, Lonely Girl Am I. However I have been to a couple of functions recently, weddings etc where the DJ has played "Needle In A Haystack" and the like, in order to help get the party in full swing. Once the Dance floor is full to breaking point, all ages, he then turns to the chart of the day and the dance floor starts to empty. Good Move MR D.J. ........ NOT
  23. 5529 - Olympics - I'll Do A Little Bit More / The Same Old Thing I'll Do A Little Bit More - The Olympics - Mirwood - 6460"] --- The Same Old Thing - The Olympics - Mirwood - 12792"] --- One of their best, and a Double Sider Too I am currently trying to complete the Mirwood label releases on Hitsville Soul Club >>> Link <<< Scans appear on the site. I once cycled 10 Miles (20 Miles round trip) for a Mirwood Stock Copy to play at the local Soul Night.
