  1. Hi John Found it >>> LINK <<<
  2. Hi John Look forward to the new Bootleg Guide, and Essential Purchase for collectors. Did you once mention an On-Line guide as well or is my ageing memory letting me down.
  3. Hi Ken Now that is a good question, and it got me thinking. I don't remember seeing any Canadian DEMO's for any release. So is there any chance of finding a Canadian DEMO for Gloria Jones. I have a few Canadian releases, various labels but ALL are Stock Copies.
  4. Hi I remember seeing this on ebay a couple of years ago, beautiful copy. I love the Canadian stuff, this one's gotta be mega rare surely.
  5. Hi Pleased you got The Charades mate, there's a DEMO being Auctioned here if anyone is looking for one. >>> RECORD-DEALER.COM <<< I have just registered, early days, the site has been around a while now but starting up again. Plus Martin is on Soul Source.
  6. It looks like it had been on sale a few days before >>> LINK <<< & NO BIDDERS Well done Pete, nice one. It does make you wonder wwhat is going on though.
  7. Hi I know, I'm working on it, nearly bought one last year.
  8. Found it, as promised here's the Canterbury BOOT ----------------* BOOT * ----------------* BOOT * Original on Tower, as already stated.
  9. Hi Here are three of the known Soultown BOOTS ---------------* BOOT *----------------------------------* BOOT *----------------------------------- * BOOT * ---------------* BOOT *----------------------------------* BOOT *----------------------------------- * BOOT *
  10. According to Manships 3rd Edition, (not sure how much in 4th Edition) £100 £100 £60
  11. Thanks Mike I'm Missing the Friday Thread, etc too.
  12. Hi I remember the thread, also seem to remember someone saying that over a period of time cardboard sleeves can attack Styrene.
  13. Hi Ken I am just going out to work, will try tomorrow to pluck up courage to have a listen.
  14. Hi I was looking for another record, while I was looking I found this. Anyone know why this Label was used for projects like this. I must give it a play, although I'm not expecting anything but dialogue & an odd tune. Strange that a Label known for Ska/Reggae & Soul releases should be used in this way.
  15. Hi There were many different pressing plants, the two pictured, one is a Styrene Monarch, the other a Vinyl "Nashville Matrix" Obviously, some have "ARP", Some "ZTSC" etc
  16. Hi Miff Yes, I remember the thread, this is the Green Label Styrene Original, as described. I bought it in the 70's, you don't tend to see many copies, however, I think Pat Brady currently has a copy at £75. >>> LINK <<< Here is a Link to one of the recent Threads about this record. >>> LINK <<<
  17. Two of the Genuine Soultown releases, already mentioned.
  18. Well said Pete.
  19. Obviously I am aware that ebay sells a lot more that just records, anything and everything in fact. However, regarding Vinyl, ebay appears to have built up a Market, just to knock it back down again by charging high fees. Many bargains thus disappearing. I don't know if they realise or really care as they have many other things being sold daily. An alternative would not be necessary if ebay decided to change their prices a little. I was buying lots of records for a few dollars, taking a chance on stuff I hadn't heard etc, selling a few non soul or spares, but it just isn't as cheap anymore. Gemm, Musicstack etc mostly set sale but bargains still to be had.
  20. More Sad News. R.I.P.
  21. Very Sad News R.I.P.
  22. Thanks for that, on a similar subject, one thing that I haven't seen is a DEMO for "Working At The Go Go" / "The Fat Man". Anyone know if they are Stock Copy only, surely there must be a St Lawrence 1011 DEMO, it's just I haven't seen one ..... Yet! Hopefully someone will post one as I've often wondered. In addition, whereas "Robin At The Go Go" and "Working At The Go Go" Obviously kept the same Matrix. (Being Instrumental) 20088 "Batman At The Go Go" has 20087 "The Fat Man" has 20091 According to a recent post, they had to reissue and remaster for copyright reasons. (i.e. "Batman" & "Robin" reference)
  23. Hi Pete Well spotted Mate, It would be good if some of the 141 guests were to sign up, I'm so pleased that I did, I remember when I was one of those guests, Soul Source is such a welcome part of my day now.
  24. Hi All three copies that I have came from Soul Bowl too. Thanks for the Info regarding when discovered / played.
