  4. Hi Ted Most of the Boots I bought in the Early days, but I kept them. The Originals I bought a little later from Soul Bowl & at the time for not too much more than the Boots. There are of course many Boots for Gloria Jones. & on the subject of Originals there is the corresponding DEMO & Stock Copy for Gloria Jones. same designs as my Sandy Wynns below. I may be wrong (probably am) but I think that Gloria Jones on this design Black Champion Label hasn't been Booted. I nearly bought one for £20 Eight Years ago but funds were a bit low, never seen one since, wish I had bought it now.
  5. Hi Adam Here's one of the recent threads regarding Gloria Jones >>> LINK <<< I have two Originals & two Boots <-- Both are Original <-- Both are Boots It can be difficult, especially with the Black Label Copy
  6. Found It, Listening Now with - VLC Media Player - Thanks Mark Set Up Ready for Oct 14 The Reflections - Like Adam & Eve - On the Radio 15:00 Sunday Afternoon - Bliss
  7. Hi Mark Excellent News I believe It is available on the Internet too Isn't It.
  8. Unfortunately it Looks like Petes already confirmed your suspicion Here is a >>> LINK <<< to a previous thread about this record. Contains Matrix details etc.
  9. I have just done a search on Google for Cameo-Parkway and it brought me back to Soul Source D'oh! Here is a UK Listing submitted by Pete-S in 1997 Cameo-Parkway Info and listing by Pete Smith >>> LINK <<< Excellent Information for UK Collectors
  10. Totally Agree ...... John Anderson
  11. Here is one of the Original Label Variations for Love Factory. There was a thread a while ago I'll try and find it,regarding this label. Here it is >>> LINK <<<
  12. According to >>> Manships <<< The MS-1010 has a different DOUBLE A DEMO for both sides I've only seen Sliced Tomatoes DOUBLE A DEMO on ebay John has the Stock Copy but at a Higher price.
  13. Yes, I bought this in the 70's from Soul Bowl. I have tried along the way to buy the other Numbers. Most of the copies of 1010 that I have seen on ebay have been the Double A Side DEMO I am guessing that the Stock Copy isn't that easy to find, Is that the case.
  14. Hi Chris The best place for almost any Label you want is Dave Rimmers Soulful Kinda Music >>> CAMEO PARKWAY <<< A lot of work has gone into this site, It's brilliant. A Fantastic source of Information.
  15. I did mean that it wouldn't stop me buying an Official release, even if the Quality was down due to lost master tape etc. Many tracks have appeared throughout the years, spread accross various CD's. Would Motown have treated the Master Tapes from Golden World & Ric-Tic as their own following the purchase. or Did the some of the Original Master Tapes suffer an unknown fate. Anyone Know?
  16. Well said We had this discussion on here a while back regarding the Ric-Tic / Golden World stuff. It was suggested that there were quality issues now we're in the Digital age regarding the Original Master tapes etc not being available. I for one would just like to see the Ric-Tic / Golden World Catalogue given a decent Official release. They were Quality Tracks anyway and deserve their place in the CD age. If the quality is down a little it wouldn't stop me buying.
  17. Me Too One arrived Yesterday U.K., Ten arrived Today from the States, Phew.
  18. Sorry Pete, but The Carstairs - It Really Hurts Me Girl - must be one Mel Britt - She'll Come Running Back - Another
  19. I don't know why, but I liked it when the Post Office was the one and only and as the title says "Royal Mail" We shouldn't expect a service such as this to make Profit or Cull it. It should be a service that the Nation can be proud of. However, I fear that it will fragment and nobody be accountable
  20. I think that it has a similar sound to Dusty, as I have already stated I have Always Loved the record, The question that still remains unanswered is who were they, as nobody appears to know. Did they record under other names, or simply the one off session that resulted in such a great record. Plus, the Promotion Copies can't have captured enough attention first time around as we don't have a Stock Copy. ............. Yet.
  21. As time goes by I don't think that they do exist. The number before is the wonderful Cindy Scott, Virtually Impossible on a Stock Copy but at least we have seen a scan. So far nothing for The Star-Treks on Stock Copy. PopSike.com
  22. It is one of those records that you would think would be more expensive. I'm looking to get one one day when funds allow, a terrific record.
  23. Hi Pete Studying your scan I'm guessing that your copy is Styrene. I will check my Veep stuff, I believe that the Majority are on Styrene and I have seen the slightly different Label Design as yours for another Number V-1297 The only thing as far as "Gonna Need Magic" is concerned I haven't seen a Stock Copy. I have a couple of V-1254 DEMO's the second copy I bought from Soul Bowl the same design as my scan above The record has always been a favourite of mine. There was mainly two designs for Veep the one below, came out on both There is the Veep design with a red circle around the outside of the label. (Not sure which numbers came out with the red circle) The DEMO below has the same Design as your copy regarding the placing of the Promotion Copy Not For Sale We have been trying to complete certain labels by scan on Hitsville Soul Club of America & Veep is one of them. I had already scanned them for that. All Information such as your DEMO is Invaluable.
  24. 1973/74 Sounds about right to me. We were playing this at The DRUM around that time. I bought my copy from Mick Cooke to play, If I remember rightly, on this occasion, John Philips had first call on it from Mick, but John agreed to sell it on to me. and Mick already had the record a few Months at that point he used to Travel to The Torch, Wigan and Various other Venues He would call at our house with his latest purchases. I would assume he bought it possibly Va-Va's He had some Top Sounds for the day, normally before I had even heard of them. I know of two Snowys from the Doncaster Area it's the Snowy I think you mean he played records at the Drum too. "Gonna Need Magic" was a popular play there.
