    These Originals are Styrene with Stamped Matrix. --Original - Large 45 As already mentioned there are Vinyl DEMO's about with Poor Photocopied Labels --Original - Large 45 As with Sandi Sheldon below, Some were repressed by Columbia but with Small 45 --Re-Issue - Small 45 The Original Sandi Sheldon has a Large 45 and is extremely Rare and expensive.

    Hi Pete Still miss them Mate, it was a fantastic place to visit with your Videos on. Regarding this track, it's always been one of my favourites. Were there other Voices in the backing on this, I'm sure that I can hear a female Voice. Anyone know were there resident female backing singers.     US DEMO >>> LINK <<< It went for $122.50 I sure that someone on Soul Source, recently suggested this to be quite RARE on a White DEMO. At the time I remember realising that I hadn't seen one.

    Both of these are Original & are Styrene. As already mentioned there is a Grey Label Vinyl BOOT --<-- Both Have STAMPED Matrix A & B Side

    That's where I bought my copy from, I believe that Soul Bowl had them done from Original Master Tapes on Satiron. I don't know how many were made though, Never issued until then, released it on John's Grapevine Label. They obviously had access/rights to the Master Tapes.

    Sorry I meant Manships 3rd Edition Price Guide., and he has published a 4th recently. Unfortunately I don't think that John has a copy of Betty Lavette at the moment. The two copies that I saw on ebay, one was a DEMO looked brilliant, I wish I could have been there at the end of bidding but I work nights. Sometimes, I win more when I'm there at the end of bidding as I can't afford leave a high bid on everything just in case I spend too much.

    No not really, the third edition has it at £50 DEMO & £40 Stock Copy. It's just that I'm after so much at the moment, and these days with limited funds. Doesn't turn up everyday, but you do see them from time to time. I came close to winning one a couple of times on ebay but was outbid at the last minute.

    I always prefered the first Car Horns Version before PYE tried. Have we any Idea who first spliced it together for Wigan Plays. The Irish Footsie is of course a nice unusual item. "Seven Days Too Long" I guess is on the Other side, same as UK

    Hi Nev Funny that, Quite a few recently Including a couple currently I have seen activity from this ebayer. All's fair and all that, but I was begining to wonder. Seen a couple of current live ebay auctions that I thought that I had the good fortune to stumble upon and there is already a bid from them.

    Both are from the Mirwood Label and have been issued in the UK before on the Fontana Label I'm not too sure of the current Values for the UK stuff. Jay Boy has some nice collectable items.

    Doncaster and surrounding area has always had a strong Northern Soul following. I'm surprised too that we don't have a lot more posts from this area.

    The White DEMO has Countdown ( Here I Come) on Both Sides. (Double A Side) I think that there is a later Minit Recording of Countdown (Here I Come) by The Younghearts/The Tempos Regarding FOOTSIE, yes I have seen the two you Mention. This one has "You Can Never Be Wrong" on the B Side

    Hi Malc There is also a Burgundy Stock Copy for this. ------------------- STYRENE --------------------------------- STYRENE --------------------------------- VINYL I haven't heard of this as a Part1 / Part 2 on Canterbury. "Sad, Sad Memories" was the B Side on the Stock Copies. It also saw release on Soultown Plus the Boot on Light Blue

    Thanks Jerry, One thing about Tainted Love that never changes for me, from first hearing it I was blown away & If I'm honest it still does. Gloria gives a fantastic performance, she should have had a hit record with this one. This BOOT was the first copy that I bought 'cause it was the only way I could get it on Vinyl at the time, I suppose I didn't ask If it was Original, I loved the record so much I just had to have a copy.

    I dont know if it is true, but I was told in the 70's when I Can't Help Loving You' first started to be played on the Northern Scene. that he couldn't remember recording it. Might be one of those rumours that circulate about.

    Hi Adam Whoops!, sorry I was that busy rattling on about the different versions. The Original Black Styrene is - Monarch Stamped Delta # 56960X I'll have to check the Black Boot copy I scanned it is Styrene and I think the Matrix is Monarch Stamped Delta # 99069 same as Bootleg Guide States There is a Black Vinyl Boot of this design which I don't have.
