  1. Just to complete this, here is a Scan of the Boot on Mohawk. -----------------* BOOT * -Styrene -----------------* BOOT *
  2. Think my Skiing In The Snow was on Blue, bit like the Tarpon Label colour. Green/Blue.
  3. Carl Douglas Serving A Sentence on Orange. Got it Somewhere. Seem to remember The Markettes Stirring Up Some Soul on Green
  4. Hi Pete I don't know if you saw this >>> LINK <<< Dan had some copies.
  5. Thanks for posting this. I hope you get it sorted mate. A concern for all who use ebay I think.
  6. ebay need to address this, how can you mutually sort this. The Evidence speaks for it's self. Surely they have a moderator. Pete should not be in this position, come on ebay where are you.
  7. With A label such as Karen, most collections will have a blend from the different pressing plants. Virtually Impossible to know with some of them, as to which is rarer. However, still classed as an Original.
  8. Went to see them a couple of years ago at Sheffield, when G.C. Cameron was with them. Amazing night, well worth it. Even more amazing, supporting The Temptations & The Four Tops None other than Chris Clark, not even mentioned on the Ticket.
  9. Hi Leonardo It does beg the question, as it is apparently a Promo Only. Why? Wasn't it ever Issued on a Stock Copy. It's Such a Brilliant record. Very near to the Top of my wants list. Yet someone decided not to release it., I've only ever seen DEMO's
  10. No need to feel Out of things, the love of the soul-scene is what it's about. Welcome to Soul Source and your contribution. Remember we're all still learning. All the Best to Phild too
  11. Hi Paul It's Not Mega Rare, However It's Not that easy to find. £15 in Record Collector, should be more I think. Brilliant Double Sider from Mirwood, & was issued before the Jay Boy copy.
  12. Hi Leonardo The only New-Voice I have are all Mitch Ryder and The Detroit Wheels. The New-Voice stuff also had the Variety of Label, I have seen "Break Out" Blue Paper, and Blue Printed Vinyl. Whereas the Original Laine Hill only on Paper Label similar to the DEMO above.
  13. Here's the 2 Demos -Vinyl -Styrene I haven't seen an Original Stock Copy, anyone know if it is Styrene or Vinyl. Or is there a Stock Copy for each DEMO.
  14. Hi Leonardo One of my favourite labels Dyno-Voice, thanks for taking the time to write the fantastic article in "There's That Beat!" a Quality publication as you quite rightly state.
  15. Hi Pete I would suggest that is a more than a fair price for a Near Mint Original.
  16. Here's the DEMO Can't find the Link, I think that Manship's Auctioned a DEMO recently. I believe that there is a Rarer West Coast copy too. Styrene acording to the Book.
  17. Hi Mark I have to check the Price Guides, records like this one always difficult. Anyone just starting out in Collecting could amass an Excellent Quality collection of Originals such as Tina Britt. For a relatively low amount of cash. Amazes me how some of the Made Yesterday Look-A-Likes sell when there are records like this to be purchased. No Contest.
  18. Definitely a Bargain at £30/£40 for Quality alone, the Stock Copy is Valued at £20 in Manships 3rd Edition. The DEMO surely has got to be worth more. It's one of those records that is a favourite Double Sider to many. Not that easy to find on a DEMO.
  19. I'll Second that, Pete is Always there to help and advise. 11800 Posts plus and counting. The Innercalm Videos a Legend, Why oh why did they remove the lot. I won't mention which DVD footage, but came to our rescue recently with a long deleated Film, Thanks Again Pete.
  20. Hi As Pete quite rightly states the Matrix has to have the "Nashville Matrix" Stamp Here it is in full from a previous thread of mine. This is an Original it is on Vinyl and has the "Nashville Matrix" STAMPED in the Deadwax on both sides. The Deadwax on mine is Scratched "3125 - 1" STAMPED "Nashville Matrix" Scratched "95" I hope this helps The Stamped Nashville Matrix confirms an original It's great to be back on line, I've had Major Computer Problems over the last two weeks. My Main Computer was finally fixed today Apologies to anyone that I haven't been able to reply to.
  21. Hi Marco --This is an Original Styrene DEMO --This one is a Styrene Re-Issue. The Book price in Manships 3rd Edition has The Original at £200 but doesn't specify DEMO or Stock Copy. I'm not sure what price the Re-Issues are.
  22. I'd love to know why "Laws Of Love" never made it onto a CD. Whereas their other stuff has.
  23. Can we EVER expect to witness a decade where so much happened in the world of Music? So much in fact that we as a scene are still amazed at the Quality of output to present day, and Endeavour to seek out those elusive tracks. We constantly look back to the EXPLOSION of Talent, but could it ever happen again? Doubtful, in my honest opinion. The more that I think about this, the conclusion I always arrive at is that, the future of our Scene is assured. Good music will live forever; we may not stay as a Northern Soul scene but we will definitely survive. Bums on seats? Hopefully everyone will be dancing, and enjoying the wonderful music. I realise why you are concerned, but like Many of the classics, They were made with the Intention of appeal to a mass audience. A dinosaur I may be, the music however will survive, long after I am extinct.
  24. Hi Tony Sign of a True Artist I suppose. To my ears she puts her Heart and Soul into the recording, I love the record, and yet she hates it. The Strange World Of Northern Soul.
  25. Hi All Just noticed Frankie Valli is on BBC Breakfast later, didn't catch anymore, I just walked in as they were mentioning it on TV.
