Thanks for that, I've often thought that each Pressing Plant would have the possible DEMO. I suppose they pressed as required at the Time.

Hi Pete I believe It has been stated that a lot of stuff on Red Atlantic was dubbed from a U.S.A. release. Possibly why the Sound Quality is not as good. I used to have it on Red Atlantic, a long time ago now though. Never had a realistic chance of another copy.

Hi Pete A test pressing, now that is Mega Rare, nice one. The Red Label, again Mega Rare. When you consider the work that has gone into this release, no doubt just like any other. Makes you wonder at just why it is so rare, even on UK Red Atlantic. Not really a common record on any of the formats. An unusual release in this respect. I'd like to know how many of each format were made. A Brilliant record.

No Mate, you haven't The Copies with "Rules" Not Crossed Out are the Rarest. Then the copies with "Rules" Crossed Out. Followed by this one. If a Stock Copy ever turns up with "Rules", which is thought not to exist. It would take first place. As I have already mentioned in another thread about this record. Way back in the Early 70's before Information was widely known and I was just starting to turn my attention big time to U.S.A. records I had a copy in my hands with "Rules Of Love" on, the thing that I can't believe is that if it was the DEMO surely I would have bought it, without thinking. Still leaves me with an element of doubt, and hope that someone will get Lucky and find one. However, Most would say that the "Rules Of Love" Stock Copy doesn't exist. Oh for a Time Machine, but that don't exist either.

Hi This is the DEMO It looks like the Stock Copy on the left, However Different pressing plants were used. I'm not sure which of your copies is the rarest Label Variation. I must admit, that I haven't compared DEMO Label Variations. I'm just wondering if there there is, It sometimes happens.

This is the LP. Always loved this Instrumental as well.

I know that there are a couple of CD's Available with The Volcanos / Arctic stuff on. Surely the time is right for someone to Visit the Arctic Label as a CD Package. There are some Brilliant Tunes.

Hi There are as far as I'm aware 2 DEMO's & 2 Stock Copies. I think that it's an East Coast / West Coast thing. I was told that the East Coast Vinyl was a bit Rarer, Nearly bought an East Coast Stock Copy for £20 many years ago, not seen one since, That's the way It goes, someone else will have seen copies I'm sure. It's all about right place right time with cash and a little luck sometimes. At the time £20 would have meant me missing another record. I have had to supplement with Sandy Wynns copies, for the two Gloria Jones I don't own. ----Vinyl ----Styrene Not selling, still collecting.

Hi Pete Thanks for the Extra Information. Does it follow that it was Intended for the Direct Label or doesnt It happen that way, I'm not that clued up on Reggae Tunes/Labels I just bought a few along the way. I was tempted to call It Mr Lee as it is within the Lyrics, Thought it better not to. It would be nice to hear the Laurel Aitken version.

The Matrix has a chisled in type stamp, you can probably make it out from the scan. Thanks for having a look. I bought it from a second hand shop in Doncaster in the 70's. I know what you mean about the centre, It was missing when I bought it, but it looks like it had one. Just like a UK press.

I have had this White Label record for years, often wondered who It Is. There is an Instrumental on the other side, It's a bit scratched, I'm sure It Isn't Rare Just Wondered. The DS 5100 A 1H is stamped in the Deadwax. The Instumental side has "Long Hot Johns Reggae Band", "DA DOO RON RON" written in Pencil.

Hi John Thanks, will be Interesting to find out. Carrie = Edward Hamilton, Mary Jane = Edward Hamilton and The Arabians, Jameco = Edward Hamilton and The Fifes. I think that on the other thread it was suggested that the Mary Jane copy was a later recording. Found the other thread >>> LINK <<<

Hi Steve Great Double Sider from the C.O.D.'s Thanks for posting it, nice to give these a play. As mentioned in another thread there are Brilliant Original records out there, & relatively cheap too. No need to buy look-a-likes, made yesterday. When there are high Value tunes like these to be found. Regarding this one I found it in a second hand shop, years ago. It was in amongst The Rolling Stones, The Seekers etc Strange how we SOMETIMES find these records amongst the 60's UK chart stuff. If I remember correctly, I think that they were all Ex Juke Box, possibly in there due to the large centre.

I don't think it has either, as it was re-issued on green. There was a recent thread regarding the slighly different takes used.
