  1. Just What I was Trying To Say. Well Put Mate.
  2. As Pete Correctly States, the Delta Clinches It #102402. 70's Press Styrene.
  3. Thanks Dave I think you are spot on here, Rarity doesn't always attract the High price tag. I love the U.S.A. copies, which form the Majority of my collection. However, I remember seeing a Canadian - Capitol - Gloria Jones - Come Go With Me. I have the U.S.A. DEMO on Uptown, From time to time I see other DEMO's for sale or in peoples Collection. How many Canadian Copies of this have I seen on Capitol, One, possibly two., and they were scans. I wonder If it was a Similar situation to the London American Label in the U.K. Where, If my Information is correct, they were Obliged to press small quantities of the American OutPut.
  4. Some excellent records there Mate. I haven't seen hardly any of them before on a Canadian Label, Marie Knight and Kurt Harris, loverly. I remember seeing a Scan of the Steinways on Sparton and The Precisions on Stone. Here's a couple of mine, Infinitely easier.
  5. I always thought that the Early Tamlas were worth collecting on Canadian. As you know all on Tamla Globe but with the U.S.A. Numbering System. Always puzzled me why they don't tend to be priced higher. We see sought after rarities from Europe and Australia. To find a 60's recording in 2007 in Ex to Mint condition, produced in lesser quantity, surely not that easy.
  6. It's so difficult with Canadian Issues. I only have a few Canadian Copies in the Collection However, Value ? I don't know If anyone really knows Quantities of Production compared to U.S.A. copies. In my Experience, I can't say I've ever seen Multiple Canadian copies of any Title, and I can say I have seen some nice Items on Canadian Labels which is Obvious judging by the 3 Above. One thing I do remember regarding the Canadian Pressing Plants, The Early Canadian Tamla Globe Vinyl copies were considered of high quality. Sorry I can't be of any further help.
  7. Hi Dave An Excellent Magazine, Collectable in It's Own right. Packed with Info, a must have, Quality Publication. Can't wait.
  8. Hi Shep There are two DEMO's, one of which does look like a Stock Copy from the "TOO DARN SOULFUL" side. However, it has "PLUG SIDE" on the "YOU DON'T LOVE ME ANYMORE" Side. 981 Is a styrene Monarch & Delta # 65704 on one side & 65704-X the other. The strange thing is (considering that the other DEMO has the Labels Reversed) is that the PLUG SIDE has 65704-X. The -X following a Delta Number, normally denotes the B Side? AMY 981 is Styrene with a "B" Matrix STAMPED in the Deadwax Has the Labels Reversed The Blue Label AMY Stock copy is the rarest and hardest to obtain. A Friend of mine had this years ago, the only time I've seen one, other than a scan. I've got both DEMO's in the collection, the Blue AMY Stock Copy is virtually impossible, hope you find one. The Blue AMY scan below is from Popsike.com https://www.popsike.com/php/quicksearch.php...x=0&y=0 IT'S ALWAYS WORTH A LOOK ON POPSIKE.COM WHEN VALUING RECORDS It was Booted on Renfro, I will try to add a Scan later when I find the record. Not sure if they were different Takes.
  9. Large Text also on the Original DEMO The Re-Issue has the smaller Text & Date on Label --------------Re-Issue --------------Re-Issue
  10. Hi Pete Fortunately someone has, here It Is.
  11. Hi Bart I think that It was Booted on White or Blue. However I think that I have seen a Black Label. I have seen them between £10-£20. I'm not sure how common they are, some of the Boots are now getting scarce.
  12. There's some fantastic Information regarding Pressing Plant Matrix at >>> ANORAKS CORNER <<< Including a Look up Grid on 60's Monarch Delta Numbers.
  13. Hi Bart Original is on Vinyl, as already stated. The part of your description "then a circled letter M and then a triangle followed by 99522" Suggests that yours is a Styrene Monarch Press from the 70's.
  14. Here you are mate >>> LINK <<<
  15. Two of the best Northern Instrumentals, and Yes there are others, I know. Supertime (6 O'Clock) & Afternoon On The Rhino Both originally L.P. Only. I wonder If the Value would be more if Originally on 45 Don't get me wrong I still play them from the L.P. Shame they didn't make it to the 45 Format Originally. Just like "Bubblegum Breakthrough" did. In some ways the Stephanye & Soul Beat - Boot's made them more accessable to the masses by being more user friendly.
  16. Yes Mate, Wellcome aboard this Soul Source thread, and hopefully many others. Sharing knowledge is what It's all about, In many cases we are all still trying to piece things together. As is the case with the OOTP Label. We're all finding things out many years later through discussion. As Sean quite rightly says "You're right to just get involved and discuss." "Welcome and Enjoy!" Spot on.
  17. There must be many tracks that would suit advertising. The feel good beat Is what most strive to produce, Northern Soul just there in waiting ready to use as a backing track to their products. Imagine a Cold Cure company using, "I Got The Fever" how could anyone not feel better after hearing such an Awesome track.
  18. Didn't It have a U.S.A. release and a UK. on a Reprise 45. Brilliant record.
  19. This reminds me of the time that I was waiting Outside a Second Hand Shop in Doncaster for It to Open. The guy who owned It normally opened around 10:00 but was late. Up walks this Woman with a Suitcase, nothing unusual about that as the Shop was near to the Railway Station. I Was only about 16 but had been working for a year on Apprentice wages. Casual chat for a few minutes and then the Owner came. Being a Gentleman I let her go Into the shop first and headed straight for the records. Stunned and Gutted I heard her ask him "How Much For This Case Of Records", and watched him offer her £3 which she took. When I looked at the records, they were all UK Soul Labels. Over the next couple of days my savings were used to buy as many as I could afford. If only the subject of records had come up, as I had just over £5 on me. Apprentice wages at the time 4 pounds, 19 shillings and 6 pence. An Instant Collection and missed the bargain.
  20. Some nice UK Items though. Depends if Condition as Described I suppose, suprised the seller didn't sell them as Individual Items. They appear to be a regular ebayer (2230) feedback. No doubt went for a Quick Turnaround of Cash. Be Interesting to know what they paid for someones lifetime collection. An Instant collection, becomes more of a Bargain the more I think about it. No traveling, hunting etc, the thrill of the chase ain't there but Instant Collection.
  21. Hi Mark I would say that your scan is an Extremely Rare West Coast DEMO. They did have the habit of Coloured DEMO's as opposed to White. I have had a look at the scans, I think that I can see a Monarch Matrix Stamp to the left of "AT" on the "Slippin' Around" side. As you know the Monarch press almost all are Styrene, However some are Vinyl with the Monarch Delta etc.
  22. Thanks John, when Ian & then Doc Mentioned It I thought I've Not seen that before, nice to see a scan. Another format, travelled the Globe, Yet still Rare.
  23. Styrene, West Coast Monarch Pressing Plant I Reckon. That will be why it is So Rare, compared to the others.
  24. Hi Mark Is the Red Fame Copy Vinyl or Styrene, Just wondering if this is an East Coast / West Coast difference. It has happened with some of the Other Labels where the West Coast press opts for a Coloured DEMO rather than White.
