No Problem Mate, as I say I'm not sure about this release.

Sorry if I am wrong on this, I am under the Impression that Soul Galore was a SS Label. Hopefully the rights were Legally gained as it states on the Label. If they were then it Isn't a BOOT. However, I thought that it was. I am Intending to show Original Records only, this was only used as a comparison press.

I am Only trying where I can, to show Original Matrix etc. As you quite rightly point out this is the East Coast design & there is a West Coast Design. I have ammended my post to reflect this. Parkway P-983 The Janie Grant "Bell Sound" Matrix Stamp is Difficult to Detect. They appear to have sorted the problem out for the next number, which happens to be Christine Cooper.. This has "Bell Sound" firmly stamped on Both sides. However ..... I noticed that, on the Christine Cooper there is also another very faint Matrix, a little to the left of the bold "Bell Sound" possibly another "Bell Sound" very poorly stamped and very similar to the Janie Grant Matrix It almost looks like they had to replace a faulty Matrix stamp between these two issues.at the Pressing Plant. It is a Minefield - Bootleg guide is a must have. There is of course a West Coast Design with Staggered Logo. I hope that this helps.

Hi Alan Thanks, I found a nifty bit of GIF Image Freeware during my Christmas Holidays. (Don't worry though I won't turn things into a kaleidoscope of colour). Plus I have had Increased success with my new scanner for Deadwax Info. I just thought that it might be useful for certain posts.

I will try to find my copy, I'm almost sure that It Isn't an Original. However, Either way I will post the scan later.

"love you baby" on Ashford, was amongst one of my first purchases that fell into the (Is It, or Isn't It) i.e. Counterfeit or Original. Even on Hindsight, It may be difficult to estimate just how many were Original copies at the time. So much easier Today to Obtain Information. Many of the other records were more Obvious BOOTS and perhaps easier to say.

There was a thread concerning this a while ago, Apparently It's the original plates used for Styrene that were damaged and repaired giving the ghost Image of a crack which appears on Styrene Press.

Does anyone know if these numerouse French Soul releases, were around the time of the U.S.A release or much later. They Certainly had their finger on the pulse, some amazing releases that appear to have passed the UK's attention at the time. Picture Covers Too.
