  1. Hi Chris According to Manships 3rd Edition £50 = Original White DEMO £50 = Original Stock Copy I'm not sure what the current Values are.
  2. Thanks Sebastian, It's Much Better to compare the Stock Copies. I've never had chance of an Original Stock Copy.
  3. The Original has Large Font Title - (DEMO & Stock Copy) This one is the second as it has Small Title and Recording First Published 1965
  4. SAM & KITTY - I'VE GOT SOMETHING GOOD - ---------------Original----------------------------Counterfeit -- Pictured an Original White DEMO & Original Stock Copy There are Other Original Variations to the Label. Here is an Original Matrix - Beware of the Counterfeit There is also an Original West Coast Press - Delta # 65652
  5. Yes, I believe it is, I don't own the record, unfortunately. I haven't studied a copy close up, However; Here is a scan from Popsike. www.popsike.com www.popsike.com Here's a scan of the Stock Copy
  6. Now that sounds Interesting, I'm sure following the recent spectacular performances by various artists that this would be a worthwhile project.
  7. Could be, I remember seeing these, mentioned in both. >>> Drifters - Uk Polydor/ Atlantic <<< Follow this thread and dubbing from disc is mentioned a couple of times. >>> Fidels - Try A Little On Vj <<<
  8. Might be an Idea to form a group of Interested parties, We have been trying to complete only a mere handful of popular labels on Hitsville for a few years now. Slowly but surely we're getting there. >>> LINK <<< Dave Rimmer with Soulful Kinda Music has done a fantastic Job of collating Information for these Labels. The quest that we set by comparison was small yet still ongoing. All scans on Hitsville are credited to the supplier of the scan, either by posting or named within the post, and rightly so. It is a long job though, but I believe worthwhile, especially once completed.
  9. This is the Best Version to me, has it all. I don't own a copy, hope too one day when funds allow. Anyone heard from Johnny Phillips recently, I understand that he has moved Down Under. Haven't seen him for a few years now, last time I saw him was at the Earl Of Doncaster. By sheer coinsidence it's the Earl Of Doncaster do tonight, and I read this with his name mentioned.
  10. White DEMO & Stock Copy Valued at £30 in the 3rd Edition, doesn't mention a different price for DEMO / Stock Copy However, I think you're right, mostly White DEMO's on Sale at the Moment, I've just had a Look on Music Stack. Looks like there is a Stock Copy on Manships at £20 if it's the Stock Copy that you are specifically after.
  11. Hey That's a brilliant price Mate, Pleased for you.
  12. I love the record, I would have paid that for the Mint DEMO if I had the funds that is.
  13. Sorry Ken, I see what you mean now.
  14. Oh yes, definitely, just same seller different approach.
  15. In comparison This one is a better start price >>> MARSHA BRODY <<< Original DEMO, think I've seen the BOOT go up for sale for more than that.
  16. I Should have said, £199.99 Is it me, or does £199.99 look a heck of a lot more at first glance, than even £199. Too many 9's in the price, might as well have said £200.
  17. Record Collector 2008 = £75, DEMO £150 I agree, as much as I love this record, £199
  18. Thanks Rob I was wondering about the Chess Distribution as regards to the "Sterling" Matrix on the earlier Nunmers. Obviously ony used for RC-801 & RC-802. As you say it's quite odd that RC-800 hasn't.
  19. Here's a couple of the Champion Designs. There is a corresponding DEMO & Stock Copy for each one, plus the release on DOC.
  20. Some DEMO's are difficult to price. Your title as a Stock Copy in the 2008 Record Collector Billy Stewart- Ol Man River / Every Day I Have The Blues - UK Chess CRS 8050 £20 As you know DEMO's are another matter. Recently on ebay Len Barry - 1-2-3 U.K. Brunswick DEMO Never EVER seen one before, yet the Stock Copy, (multiple copies over the years). Can't say that I've seen that many U.K. Chess DEMO's of any Title over the years either.
  21. Checked mine, Exactly the same for those mentioned. As for "Reach Out For Me", I have the Stock Copy but Not the DEMO, Nice one Mate.
  22. I remember seeing a Red-Coach White DEMO in the 70's for "It Really Hurts Me Girl". I didn't have chance to check for the Matrix Stamp in the Deadwax. There was however a pronounced raised ring around the center underneath the label. I have a Verve boot like this, and was told that this was a Boot also. The Boots have a Scratched Sterling Matrix apparently. Don't know if these also have the raised ring or whether there are two Boots.
  23. I have just posted an Edwin Starr You Tube clip, mentions Brian Rae, on YouTube comments. >>> LINK <<<
  24. There are a few misprints I think. I have seen a "Leo's Mood" Instead of "Cleo's Mood" or was it "Cleo's Back", anyway it was one of the Cleo Titles. not forgetting "Two Many Fish In The Sea", as opposed to "Too Many Fish In The Sea" Not sure how many are about for each, I think some are quite rare. Seen a few "Two Many Fish In The Sea" however never seen a DEMO for this with the wrong Title.
