  1. Hi Peter Thanks Mate, I keep experimenting, and I now have the use of my Daughters new Digital Camera to go with my New Scanner. I have been trying different Angles, lighting & Macro.
  2. Back on track hopefully, lost four weekends recently. Needed to Travel to Durham & back to a relation. Original STYRENE Monarch DEMO Original Vinyl On the Original Vinyl Stock Copy There is an "LW" Lightly Scratched & on it's side just to the Left of the LR. The Camera failed to capture it in the Photo, I will try again tomorrow. The Matrix "67-C-506 A----------LW LR" is Rough to the touch. This Vinyl BOOT has "JC 67- C - 506 - A RE" Scratched in the Deadwax This one is on Vinyl has "340 67-C 506 - A" Scratched in the Deadwax Deadwax Large & Dimpled - Poor Recording - Suspect It's a BOOT
  3. Hi I Won this one Last Night for a couple of Dollars, first Red Verve DEMO that I've seen.
  4. 5. I would love to see more Artists record in the 60's / 70's Style of Soul Music. Following the success of Motown, Stax, and all of those lovely 60's / 70's Labels, It is Amazing that it's taken Amy Winehouse & Co to try to re-create that wonderful style & sound we love to hear. Suprised that more American Artists are not following a Similar path. All the Artists on Standing In The Shadows of Motown did a fine job Vocally. The Funk Brothers, perfection as Always & Surely the best Inspiration there is. Anything happening regarding this project. >>> LINK <<<

  7. Hi Tony Yes, all is well thanks. At work we have Local radio chart stuff blasting out, over and over. Same songs repeated from a Playlist, hour in, hour out, again and again. It's just nice to hear something closer to my kind of music.
  8. I've gotta agree Del, Hope she continues in the same style. I wonder if there will be an Album similar to Back To Black, following the success that the Album has had for Amy Winehouse. For the Future, it would be good to hear some of these Artists get back to the Roots of Soul, and record some gutsy, gritty raw stuff. There are many fantastic records to cover.
  9. Thanks Steve. Should have played the Album before today, had it in Storage for years along with the others.
  10. Thanks Pete, I thought that It would be. First time I've seen the West Coast DEMO.
  11. Hi Steve You're right, I have just played the track for the first time since I bought it in the 70's. Canned Applause between Tracks, how strange. I bought it with hundreds of others all Unplayed at the time, hence Mint-. They have ruined what should have been a good Album.
  12. Hi Jim I have this one, which has same tack listing, I think. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Silver Label, Mint- (Cover Ex - Crease Bottom Right Cover) Side 1: I'll be sweeter tomorrow I'm so glad I found you Going going gone That's alright I dig your act Look over your shoulder Side 2: You're So Sweet Just Another Guy Four for the price of one Love is everywhere Now that I've found you I'll be seeing you ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  13. Thanks Mate, That Looks like the Styrene Monarch DEMO
  14. RUFUS THOMAS - WALKING THE DOG (TOTP2) ">
  15. I have had a good search around, I can't find anything about the Name Change. Suspect that you may be right with the Pressing Plant theory. Over the years, Various Pressing Plants/printers have Mistitled stuff, leaving us with similar questions.
  16. Yes, I remember this one, a friend of mine bought a copy. I seem to remember It was around the time of the Soul Sounds, B.J.D. Boots.
  17. Yes, and the clip is still there on YouTube. (Embedding Disabled) COULD BE THE PROBLEM Although I have known them play sometimes. >>> LINK <<<
  18. ARRIVED THIS MORNING, SAFE & SOUND 11-02-08 Postmarked, (JAN 22 2008)
  19. Now that is one Variation I definitely haven't seen before, Thanks for posting it.
  20. Hi Dave I've a copy of Bread and Butter on Black with a Blue Hickory Rainbow Logo. Seen many on Pink Label. I also have Run Baby Run on White Hickory Stock Copy. I didn't know that some had been released on all designs. As you say, not bad for such a Rare record as Queen Of Fools to appear on 4 Original Variations. Be good to see scans of the other label variations for Barbara Mills.
  21. Both DEMO & Stock Copy have Identical Deadwax. Both are on STYRENE and are Scratched - "ZTSC-107536" With " T I " 180 degrees, scratched in the Deadwax. Deadwax Width approx 14mm I don't know if this will help further, but when you hold to the light Exactly where the "6" is scratched there is a slight, but noticable dimple in the STYRENE. Also a very Tiny Dot/Dimple Under the "C-" where the ZTSC-107536 is Scratched. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------* BOOT * ------------* BOOT * The BOOT is on Vinyl, Is a different shade of Green, Scratched Matrix, and the DEADWAX Width is about 8mm. The Vinyl is quite Pitted when held to the light. I have added the Following The Boot has "ZTSC-103536" Scratched in the Deadwax. Instead of "ZTSC-107536"
