  1. Hi John Here is the First Press, I bought it from Soul Bowl Mentioned as Rarer Thick/Heavy Vinyl copy in the Listing back then too. Considering the amount of Rare stuff on the Soul Bowl lists back then, It must have been considered Quite rare at the time, back in the 70's.
  2. Repeated tonight 08-03-08 @23:00 on B.B.C.4 followed by Standing In The Shadows Of Motown. I missed it last night, but did catch The Temptations on Jonathan Ross. Definitely watching B.B.C. 4 Tonight, even has Soul Deep on @20:30
  3. I found about half a dozen copies in the 70's, sold a couple on ebay cheap, I still have some of copies left. Strange world sometimes, a nice record both sides. Seen a lot worse sell quite easily for a lot more.
  4. I know what you are saying, however; underlines the reason why they should help when things obviously go wrong.
  5. Hi David What a sorry mess, shouldn't have happened in the first place. Really pleased that you've eventually received the refund. Shame that you have had to go to so much trouble to get it. RE: "Phoenix rising from the ashes " Ebay really should do more to help regarding this type of issue, can't be good for their Image, no room for head in the sand.
  6. Unfortunately I haven't, either on Track or Mojo. Incidently, the Track Label started life as a White Label with Black writing, I have a copy of Purple Haze with this Label Variation. Only the Initial batch I believe were white. As I haven't my copy to hand at the moment, here it is on PopSike PopSike.com I'm not sure if any other Track Stock Copies were anything other than Black Label. Mojo obviously similar Black Label/White Writing.
  7. PURELY OUT OF INTEREST THIS IMAGE HAS BEEN CHANGED using XnView --I made a Negative Image of a Stock Copy, could have been a nice White DEMO, Red A ? This White DEMO doesn't exist.
  8. Me too, nearest thing to a DEMO for Mojo, ust the Stock Copy with a Date Sticker. Bought at the time from Rotherham Market, if I remember correctly. I think that I have about four, but NOT Al Kent. If this is the only Type of DEMO, then the Stock Copy would be there I suppose. Just wondering if there is a chance that a Plastic Label Variation DEMO exists for some of these. Similar to this one, but obviously the Mojo Label.
  9. Hi Dave I haven't seen that one before, with the "Nashville Matrix" Does it have any 2 digit Number beyond the "Nashville Matrix" Stamp.
  10. Hi Dave Always the case, once you assume that it doesn't exist, one turns up. All adds to the fun of collecting
  11. This was my take on this earlier in the year, I believe that it will be a Virtual One off recording. Along with other tracks, possibly still out there from the show.
  12. Hi Dave I'm pleased that you have reminded me of this. Is the other "LITTLE TOGETHERNESS" Stock Copy (West Coast) Credited to The Younghearts. A while ago there was a copy of this on Manships Auction but with The Tempos credited. This has got to be It's rarest format. >>> LINK <<< John does get some wonderful records, how many will own this little beauty. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------ Soulful Kinda Music Canterbury 506 - A Little Togetherness / Beginning Of The End - 1967 Soultown 10 - Young Hearts Get Lonely Too / A Little Togetherness - 1970 Zea 50004 - When You Wish Upon A Star / A Little Togetherness - 1971
  13. Not sure on current Value, Manship has had a copy at some time. >>> LINK <<< Doesn't give a price, however considers it rare according to the description.
  14. I think that It was a General Phil_La_Of_Soul DEMO V's the Landa Copy. As to which came out first. You raised the point Regarding Landa as a National Release. I never thought of it as such, however, now that this thread has progressed. 2 Different DEMO's & 2 Different Stock Copies. It becomes more Obvious, thanks for the Information.
  15. To be fair Neither are that easy on a DEMO, However I found that the Landa Copy is harder to Obtain. Could be that they are tucked away in collections, There are 2 Landa Stock copies according to Manships Price Guide.
  16. Hi Steve If you have a look on ; >>> ANORAK'S CORNER <<< Landa = Local Release Phil_La_Of_Soul = National Release The Landa copy is Rarer
  17. We passed quite close, remember seeing the signs to Peterlee, we were just the other side of Durham at Leadgate.
  18. I will have a look around and what I can find out.
  19. Thanks Malc. I'm hoping to scan more titles this weekend.
  20. Yes, these are the same Uptempo Version. The one that you are thinking of came out on Minit and is a different Version (Slower)
  21. Yes, Canterbury was used as a BOOT Label for some titles. I'm not sure if The Younghearts was ever pressed with this design though. There is the Later Canterbury Design, and Original Press.
  22. Hi Steve Yes, it does have a Matt finish to the Label. I will try for a Matrix scan tomorrow, I ran out of Daylight today as I was taking the Photos.
