  1. Thanks Mike Brilliant. I look forward to his reply/Input.
  2. Just a thought, how many Golden World Acetates have surfaced over the years. Ric-Tics too, possibly under the Golden World Logo as an acetate.. I have only seen a small amount, Including the Tape on ebay last year. Following the purchase, did Motown absorb the whole catalogue into their Vaults, Master Tapes, acetates etc?. In a recent "Ric-Tic relics Album thread", it was suggested that many were dubbed from disc for the Album. So I'm guessing that many of the Original Master Tapes were neglected at the time of purchase. I wonder if there is a project somewhere, either on tape ot acetate that may have been lost, relating to the Fantastic Four track.
  3. It is one of those records with an enigmatic history. Reading Pete's brilliant discography of the Grapevine Label apparently it was Intended for release on Carla, shelved at the last minute. Voc/Inst back to back with "The Gallop".
  4. Hi Gary I have always assumed that they had the rights, so for me it's a first legit issue. For the reasons I gave (Later Grapevine Release) I believe that it is rare.
  5. Hi Tony Thanks for this, I was always under the Impression that they were DEMO's. Nice to have a final conclusion to this. Another "Urban Myth" then, always told otherwise. I have seen the rubber stamped, "A" "date" etc. Thanks once again for putting things right.
  6. Here it is on PopSike Black writing
  7. Sorry Mate, my fault. I will look into it. It was quite late into the Labels Output. I don't know if "Storm Warning" by The Ambassadors" was ever Booted. However, Jamie/Guden did re-issue a few titles in the 70's.
  8. Storm Warning was discussed a while ago, along with "The Laws Of Love". Archived in The Sharp End Of Vinyl >>> Menu in Label order <<< >>> Arctic - The Volcanos - Storm Warning <<< The Black writing copy isn't mentioned, any chance of a scan or Matrix details.
  9. Yes "The Gallop" was a Carla release with "Like A Rolling Stone" on the flip side. A couple of label Variations for this one.
  10. Me too, totally the opposite end rarity wise, but I still remember the buzz when I opened the Mailer with a copy of Barefootin in it on the Island Label one of the first records I bought. Such a clever, yet simple design & used on the Sue Label too. So eye catching, so effective. Pete, the Sue DEMO's had a small Black Block just above the number on the label, did Island have a similar DEMO or none at all as I can't recall seeing an Island DEMO. Pleased for you regarding this long time want, absolutely brilliant when you find a copy after 35 years of searching.
  11. I have only ever had the one chance to buy & that was from the Soul Bowl list. Certainly elusive nowadays, never seen many, if any for sale since. Probably still sitting in collections like many titles do. 250 I didn't know how many, but wasn't it released shortly before the Grapevine release. both Soul Bowl conections, and surely they must have had the rights to the record anyway. That being the case, I reckon 250 would be a sensible amount, being previously unreleased, enough to gain interest for the later Grapevine copy without affecting sales.
  12. Now that is a question and a half. I see no reason why not, but I obviously don't know. I have a couple I'll have a look to compare. I'm sure that one is on Hot Wax. Here you are -Delta #17199 -Delta #17199 - X The X Denotes the B Side, this has 1972 on the Label.
  13. Yes it did Mate. Only just seen this as I work nights.
  14. Yes it did. I didn't see the post in The Sharp End Section or this one mate until now as I work nights.
  15. Another Ouch! Wow Just about to go to work but noticed this. Pleased for you Mate, another amazing find.
  16. Hi Miff Here is a Thread from a while ago JULY 2006 >>> LINK <<< There are different Pressing Plants Involved with the Original Release. Some are Styrene, Some are Vinyl. One of the scans looks to be the same as your copy. I have copied the scan from that thread below. Both of these are STYRENE
  17. Haven't got it, Amazing Record one of my favourites. On my Wants list too when funds allow.
  18. Gotta be, surely.
  19. Hi Gary I know that you would like an accurate value, but Kens "Lots" was my Immediate thought. Where do you start, Picture Cover too. Amazing, first time I've seen it.
  20. Thanks for posting this. It all helps to Identify one from the other.
  21. Looks Amazing Pete.
  22. Here's some of the Labels. Certainly moved around.
  23. Hi Dave It certainly does look nice, I still remember the first time I heard Part II Thought it was an Instrumental, then the Vocal came in, the hairs at the back of my neck etc A beautiful record in many ways. Absolutely brilliant, still gets me right there.
  24. I have the Vee-Jay copies. Extremely desirable, especially on WEE, That WEE 106 copy is mega rare, I reckon, with the WEE 714 not too far behind. Even with the Cash, the record could still remain elusive on WEE, probably more chance of a Vee-Jay copy.
  25. Thanks Mate, I found it so Interesting to watch how the Dancers react to the Music, Which Obviously at the time was new to them. I think that the clip featuring "The Horse" - Cliff Nobles shows them really getting into the music, and copying the dance style of others, almost INSTANT. Where as the other two clips they appear a little lost, until they get into the song and loosen up. Still takes me back to my youth, as I can't dance, it doesn't stop me appreciating the Music though.
