  1. Thanks Peter, I have been practicing with a couple of freeware programs that I found. Starting to use the technique for record scans in "The Sharp End Of Vinyl". I will try to keep it pleasing to the eye, and not become psychedelic, or anything like that.
  2. Sorry, My fault, I wasn't suggesting that it should have. I was just using this Chubby Checker record to show the "MASTERING RECO-ART PHILA" That is a very nice Swan DEMO that you have there mate. First time that I have seen one.
  3. Yes, mainly Banks-Rooney, apart from the one track. "Movin' Too Slow" is a good track too.
  4. Is it like this one, which has "MASTERING RECO-ART PHILA" & "AudioMatrix" The next question has got to be, Is SAMMY SEVENS actually CHUBBY CHECKER
  5. It came out on a Rca Victor Maxi-Single RCA Victor 2655 Beverly Ann - The Exciters - Ray Paige You've Got Your Mind On Other Things /Blowing Up My Mind / Ain't No Soul I have it somewhere, couldn't lay my hands on it o scan at the moment.
  6. As I always say about this record. Amazing Lyrics & where would you start writing such a Gem. Just so pleased that they did.
  7. Selling a few Albums over the Next Week or Two. Bought them all in the Late 70's. >>> LINK <<< Will be adding to them, shortly. Now Sold
  8. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Here's a YouTube Clip Though. Yes, they do say "She's the Queen Of Northern Soul" T.V. hasn't been that kind to our music over the years.
  9. Inspired by this question, I have now featured this release in THE MODERN REDCAPS - NEVER TOO YOUNG TO FALL IN LOVE - -----------
  10. Yes, that's what I thought. I bought the two Mickey Lee Lane copies from Soul Bowl. Not sure if it is just that release, or others as well. Thought that I would highlight the Stamp, purely for the reason that you don't see it very often.
  11. Thanks Harry, I know that you used to collect Black Issues. Often wondered if any were produced during the Label Design change over.
  12. These two records were Originally released in the U.S.A. and they are quite Rare. Due to demand in the 70's these two were released in the UK using the same layout as the U.S.A. White DEMO -------------------------ORIGINAL U.S.A. White DEMO--------------------------------------------------Copied the Label for UK Release -------------------------ORIGINAL U.S.A. White DEMO--------------------------------------------------Copied the Label for UK Release
  13. Thanks, I'll scan my copies again with my new scanner, & post them up.
  14. Thank You As I say, nothing lost as I didn't pay more than a few dollars, They were bought from a well known ebay dealer & they didn't mention the Autograph in the description..
  15. Bought these two from the States for a few dollars. You never know ? The Barbra Mercer looks Impressive, but obviously can't confirm.
  16. Pleased that you've acquired a copy Mate. A brilliant record, that deserves more spins.
  17. No Original DEMO Exists. Just the Stock Copy. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  18. Another question, "Urban Myth?" that now springs to mind about Action. I was once told in the early days that the Action label was Introduced as a replacement to the Sue label, hence the Yellow/Red. Any truth in this.
  19. Thanks so much for asking this question. I have wondered about this myself. I was lucky enough to find two copies of Bobby Patterson in the 80's. One Solid & One Dinkable. As I decided to sell one I wondered which one to choose. Purely on the basis that the other Green Action that I had at the time was Dinkable I sold the Solid Centre, but it is something that I have wondered about, thanks for asking. Thanks Tony for the Information.
  20. Thanks Mate for sharing your experience and providing Information regarding The Ambassadors. Brilliant to hear an account from within the group, and the Various changes from time to time "Too Much Of A Good Thing" is a much loved Northern record. Good to hear from one of the Artists who were actually there at the time producing the records that we treasure today. Welcome to Soul Source.
  21. Too True, another Artist that I have been looking for is Cash Mc Call
  22. Definitely worth picking a copy up. There's some stunning records out there for a few dollars. You could cap your price at £30 a record and still produce a fantastic Playlist.
  23. I have only ever seen this copy that Miff has in his collection.
  24. I love the record, I never tire of listening to it.
  25. I have been steadily collecting Chubby Checker DEMO's These two have been quite elusive. I found these a couple of weeks ago.
