  7. Thanks Mate, at last we have the Mystery solved, just seen the other thread too.
  8. We can't seem to pinpoint a definite reference to "Matrix" from a PRESSING PLANT. I originally wondered if it was some kind of part number from the stamper, leaving this raised stamp by default, from a stamped number depression. (Purely my own theory at the time, nothing to back it up) However It could well have been intentional, and used as a "Matrix"

The three above came out, 56702 - Stop Her On Sight / I Have Faith In You 56717 - Headline News / Harlem 56726 - It's My Turn Now / Girls Are Gettin' Prettier Then these were reissued Back to Back. 56753 - Stop Her On Sight / Headline News Some with the large center hole & others with the push out center. I think that the Push Out Center that you have would be the more desirable for 56753 can't say that I've seen that many, espesially with the center intact. Possibly a slightly earlier press than my 56753 However the Original Issues are worth more, I Have Faith In You is now a Northern ANTHEM 56753 - Stop Her On Sight / Headline News There may be solid center copies, but I can't remember for sure.

I think that the later "Stop Her On Sight" / "Headline News" was either large hole or solid center. The Original "Stop Her On Sight" / "I Have Faith In You" all had the Push Out Center, as far as I remember. Same as this earlier "Headline News" / "Harlem"

It came out twice on Polydor, the 56702 copy has "I Have Faith In You" Should have a center, on my copy it's missing. The later copy was made without the center

Yes Mate, they had records via Bradford Market etc. Plus, I bought a lot of Rare British stuff from there in the early 70's. (Someones collection sold via the shop)
  15. 45cellar posted a post in a topic in Look At Your Box
Yes, that's the shop. They did have some RARE stuff there from time to time. Pay's to check them.

I bought my some of my records from a shop in Conisborough in the 70's, many were Boots, However quite a few RARE Items also passed through that shop. It could be worth checking. Just in case. Unless you are 100% certain that they are BOOTS.

Hi Ian I wouldn't have thought that it was too far out, Manships 3rd Edition has the Stock Copy at £45 & the White DEMO at £85 There is of course a 4th Edition.

Steve Thanks, "1'2'1'CO" I wonder if the same code is on all of the different releases.

Thanks Steve I managed the Image first time with the DEMO, numerous attempts with the Stock Copy and It's still difficult to see. I think that it may be down to the paper used. You're right it is like "216" or something similar. I have other records with this raised mark, I will have to search them out and have a look.
  20. Yes, I well remember coming home with this copy when I didn't know any different. Difficult to Imagine now we know the Original and at Normal Speed. It does have an Authentic design / colour about it somehow. ------------------------------* BOOT * ------------------------------* BOOT * Still holds a place in my collection, as to Value / Rarity not sure, but some of the Boots are now becoming collectable (Soul Sounds) BOOT etc.

I have added this to "The Sharp End of Vinyl" Archive The raised numbers, can be difficult to find, should be on both sides, so look under either label. I will attempt a scan of the Deadwax later.
  22. Originals have a raised number under the label. Can be difficult to see.
  23. Hi Sebastian By chance, I noticed this one on ebay only last week, I hadn't seen one before, either. -Dutch

To my way of thinking, ebay appear to be on self destruct mode. Why they keep changing things is a complete enigma to me. (Nothing wrong with progress/change if it enhances the experience), BUT IT DOESN'T . For Instance, I have reverted back to ebay.com for searching as ebay.co.uk keeps defaulting back to uk only, even when I select worldwide (Very Annoying). Another thing; When I first joined, I joined through ebay.com, and must have downloaded the Turbo Lister through ebay.com The other day using ebay.co.uk I tried to upgrade to Turbo Lister 2 Following numerous attempts I find that the two ain't compatable (U.S vs U.K.). Had to sign back in through ebay.com to upgrade to Turbo Lister 2 This and the new feedback rules, leaves me stunned as to WHY? Mega successful, even with the flaws, but If they're not careful they'll kill the Golden Goose.
  25. Agree Mark Obvious concern about Rogue Traders, but what about Rogue Buyers. Now no right of reply. I think that this approach will create more problems than they are trying to correct.
