  1. Thanks so much for this Information. Positive confirmation of this single sided records existence thanks to your good self & John Manship. The fact that I (possibly like many others) bought my Double Sided copy from Soul Bowl, may suggest the intended use. or ? read on. Any copies destined for a "Phone in Competition" I would have thought would be scattered among the said competition winners and thus harder to trace. If in small number (i.e. 50 = Virtually Impossible - Which is situation we are in today) Pure speculation on my part, but I would think that Soul Bowl may have found the Copies destined for Radio Station use. Having said that, how many Radio Stations would be Involved "Promoting Scott Regen" Did they simply find the copies left over from the Competition. >>> Scott Regen <<< Anyone know for sure.
  2. Thanks Ian, & Thanks Sean. I have on a couple of occasions seen the Single Sided for sale, but don't know of anyone that owns a copy. I just wondered if anyone had a copy to compare the Deadwax / Provide Info.
  3. Checking on PopSike I found this copy, According to the write up, some are Single Sided / Blank. PopSike.com Click on the Label to see PopSike description. Anyone else seen a copy Single Sided / Blank
  4. EDWIN STARR - SCOTT'S ON SWINGERS - RIC-TIC RT-109-X This is an Original on Styrene Double Sided with the "ZTSC-107561" Matrix Scratched into the Deadwax. Opposite to the Matrix it has "T1" Scratched in.
  5. Thanks Malc That's the one. I have just checked through some of my Laurie DEMO's, ALL have a STAMPED Matrix & are on Vinyl. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I have a couple of Stock Copies, Including "I'm On My Way". Not too sure of the source of this Stock Copy, I will search it out and have a look.
  6. Thanks Malc That's the one. Here's my copy to compare.
  7. Hi Ian I will post more Information tomorrow as I am just about to leave for work. There is the Extremely Rare West Coast Monarch, currently on >>> Manships Auction <<< Then there are Vinyl copies. I have a DEMO that is a different Label Variation as it is from a different pressing plant. I think that I have also seen another DEMO very slight differences to the credits. These are Original and of the time of Issue but from different pressing plants.
  8. Hi Steve. Yes Mate. That copy is a Beauty, so desirable the Label says it all Quality. I always look out for stuff on Canadian Labels, very often a lot harder to find than US Labels. Never seen this one before on Quality, Thanks for Posting it.
  9. DEREK MARTIN - SLY GIRL - TUBA 2010 Posted info: Definitely Easier to find on TUBA
  10. Yes Mate, a few times, different colours. There is a Feature on this in >>> The Sharp End Of Vinyl <<<
  11. Hi Dave I was going to ask If anyone had a DEMO as I haven't seen one. Interesting that the DEMO is the Strings Version. Wondering if another DEMO exists.
  12. Thanks again Pete Will keep searching for Info.
  13. Thanks Pete I'll keep looking to see if I can find anything out about this.
  14. Hi Harry Very well thanks, Hope you are too. I have Just seen the Orange Label Version on ebay described as a Re-Issue, looks totally different design.
  15. Not sure on this one Harry. Pete has confirmed a Boot. Here is a scan from PopSike.com This one looks different. The one on PopSike.com hopefully an Original. (Not ruling out different pressing plants) PopSike.com
  16. Question is, was there a DEMO for this one, and which format of any variation is rarer. Personally I have seen a few more of this Stock Copy, could be chance though. Sometimes happens like that.
  17. EAST COAST PopSike.com
  18. You raise an Interesting Point here. I haven't seen many of these 2 below. (Especially The West Coast Stock Copy) WEST COAST PopSike.com PopSike.com
  19. Just to Update this, I have played my 4 copies, 3 copies = Piano, 1 copy = Strings Looks like there is a 3rd Version, but I'm not sure how you tell by just looking at the Matrix for this one.
  20. I have always known this as a cheap record, and have to admit filed under "Sweet Way Of Living" Like you I love the quirky stories / alternate takes etc behind some of the records we love. Someone must have had a change of mind regarding this side, subtle differences but must have been Important at the time. John Anderson found records from Various Sources including the Label Owner. With this record, high numbers appear to exist of each version. (4 Copies in a Soul Pack from Soul Bowl in the 70's) - 100 for £3 - Those were the days. However, It begs the Question "Why the Change of Mix?"
  21. Right thanks for that, Looks the same. I have four copies of this, 1 with "R-711-X" & 3 with "R-711-A" I'm at work shortly as I work Nights. Tomorrow, I will check the 3 again to see if they are the same or ?. My copies arrived via a Soul Pack and by chance I took 2 out & noticed the difference (hence this thread). The three R-711 A look the same but ? (We'll See) Thanks Again Mate.
  22. Two releases for this one as well.
  23. Yes, Parkway Label Design change. This one has 2 Matrix on it, Including the "AudioMatrix"
  24. Saw this one on ebay a while back, was this the one..
  25. That West Coast Styrene ""MAGIC POTION" & "UNSATISFIED" White DEMO are nice to own Mate. Thanks for Posting them.
