  1. If a known amount pressed then possibly easier to control. LIKE A NIGHTMARE - THE ANDANTES ? How many copies pressed & destroyed. Are we definitely talking being Melted Down, Committed to Landfill, OR ? We may care now, but back in the 60's would they take time to find out. Strange things can happen in a large organization. Regarding Motown, Certain Printing Errors Appear to have Escaped Quality Control. I'm sure I have read somewhere that Record Companies in the U.K. used to simply Dump Stuff, Later to be retrieved by people.
  2. Hi Dave Nigel has scanned them, I have forwarded his email on to you.
  3. Not 100% Sure, but I think a friend mine may have this. I'll contact him.
  4. My Thoughts Too Pete. Always the Sleeve, Whatever the Record. Still Nice To Own Though, Need A Lottery Win.
  5. Neither are Easy in 2009. A Stock Copy must be Virtually Impossible. Thanks for Posting. Here is the Company Re-Issue to add to those already posted.. Styrene & Late 70's due to Demand If I remember Correctly. Not sure when the White Label Boot was made though.
  6. Looks OK to me Mate, I've scanned my copy to a similar size for comparison and Matrix Details. Bit rushed as I'm out to work soon & difficult photographing even under fluorescent Light. Vinyl & "Nashville Matrix" Both Sides. Only ever seen this Red /White with Black Writing for this Mary Jane Release.
  7. Very Nice Find Mate, Always Nice When An Unexpected Rarity Turns Up. I Still Get That Buzz When Another Record Arrives, Still A Few Out There Yet To Be Discovered. My Copy is the Easier To Obtain RED Label with the different & Standard B Side
  8. Thanks Sebastian Just had a Look on PopSike.com, No other Variation there.
  9. Hi Bruno Simon's Right Always Interested in records like this. Any chance of a Scan / More Matrix Details.
  10. BOBBY WOMACK - WHAT YOU GONNA DO (WHEN YOUR LOVE IS GONE) - MINIT -
  11. The Gordy Label is one of the Labels that we are currently trying to compile at Hitsville We will hopefully touch on Pressing Plant details in time as there are Various Label Differences even with the same release Number. If you follow this >>> LINK to SEABEAR SUDIOS <<< There are three Label Scans GORDY G-7123F GORDY G-7132 GORDY G-7133F A Some labels in the 7100 Number Sequence Have the A or B Quite a few don't, but the same as Motown Label, Tamla, Soul, VIP etc the Trailing F Suddenly starts to appear after the number.
  12. Can be Difficult especially when a New seller describes a Record as in Very Good Condition. They may not be aware of the Grading System at all. I have been more than Pleasantly surprised with records described thus, Absolutely Mint when they arrive. Agree with comments regarding U.S.A. Sellers, their Vg & Vg+ can be UK Vg+ & Ex+
  13. These are Excellent, Thanks Sebastian. Does show the Difference Clearly, The STAMP must have been quite a lot of trouble to make, no doubt. In the Case of "The Voices Of East Harlem" ALL THAT AND THEN A POOR LABEL for the BOOT. I wonder if any other records have this fake Stamp

  15. - Managed a Slightly Better Picture in Daylight
  16. Yes, I have seen different Label Variations on the Original.
  17. Many Thanks for the Information. I've always sort of assumed that it was a BOOT. Strange having a "Bell Sound" Stamp, I'm now wondering how this was achieved. Did they copy the Stamp I wonder, or use the facilities available with access to a Genuine Stamp, but still Obviously a BOOT.
  18. Thanks Mate, I haven't bought a copy of the 5th Edition Yet. Someone went to a lot of trouble if it is a fake Stamp. I will attempt a close up of this "Bell Sound" Stamp. AND Compare. Update: 07-01-09
  19. Yes, I will try again Tomorrow. When I noticed the the Original Post in Look At Your Box the Day Light was going Should get a better picture in Daylight.
  20. Here is the Copy in question, It is on Vinyl. I have started to provide Details of the Styrene Copy in >>> The Sharp End Of Vinyl <<<
  21. This Is The One That's In Dispute. I must admit to having bought it from a Source where there was a higher proportion of Boots/ Counterfeits. It is on Vinyl, but does have a "Bell Sound" Stamp (Both Sides), albeit on slight angle.
  22. Original DEMO Styrene with "Bell Sound" Matrix - Both Sides
  23. Thanks for your Support in this Forum, I am in the process of Including more records of Interest. I have recently been sorting the whole of my collection into Alphabetical Order by Label, makes things a lot easier to access for scans.
  24. Saw this and if I had that kind of Money in the funds I would have loved a copy. However, £473,51 ? Sleeve M-, Label M- Vinyl Condition Only Advertised as VG- & G A very nice record to own, but .....
