Marsha Gee - Baby I Need You
Yes, I have kept most of my lists, going to have a look later. Plus, when I find the time, I have a suitcase full of Soul Bowl Mailers. As I keep my records in poly-lined cardboard sleeves I decided to keep the paper sleeves in the mailer normally with records bought in pencil written on each mailer. When the records arrived the Mailer stored Company Sleeves. Found this kept the sleeves in good order & now years later Invaluable for Info (Date Of Purchase) etc.

Marsha Gee - Baby I Need You
Hi Jerry When I bought my copies, I too wasn't aware of a BOOT or RE-ISSUE, Considering the fact that both my copies were from Soul Bowl, I was astounded to find no Stamp. I can only think that "another run done at a smaller pressing plant" could be the answer, but nothing documented.

The Ambassadors On Uptown
Certainly is a Minefield, Definitely from different pressing plants, 3 mentioned Under Capitol Records >>> ANORAK'S CORNER <<< Incredible amount of Information on Pressing Plants. Guessing that my copy of UPTOWN 732 = Rainbo Record Press As it has "R-550" within the DEAD WAX Detail

Hi John One on PopSike Mentions Daisy Stamp. PopSike.com This one mentions RE-ISSUE but doesn't give detail. PopSike.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Yes, I can just about make out the Daisy Stamp on your Scan & the STAMPED 1. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Still can't find the Daisy Stamp on my copy.

Marsha Gee - Baby I Need You
Hi Steve Apparently on one press there is a Capitol "Daisy Stamp" in the DEAD WAX Another press has the Triangle with 3 letters contained within it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- However, I bought 2 Copies from a Trusted Source in the 70's & I can't find a Stamp on either. I will scan the record again as the above scan is from my old scanner.

Mr Floods Party - Compared To What ?
- Columbia Demo
Many Thanks for Info, I have tried before to find out, without success.- Columbia Demo
I would say that It's Incredibly Rare. Often wondered if the BLACK Lettering DEMO's are VINYL, as other titles can be found in VINYL, but quite hard to find. So are these the DEMO's from the same Pressing Plant. I have the RED Lettering STYRENE DEMO, Unfortunately I haven't seen a BLACK Writing DEMO (Other than a Scan) to compare so just guesswork, I could be wrong. Anyone know for definite. STYRENE STYRENE---------------------------------------------------------------VINYL ----- Green Stax - How Many?
Johnnie Taylor - I Aint Particular - Stax - [R]51924[/R]-(Clip from Refosoul Archive) Nice One- Nothing Can Compare To You/ The Velvet Satins
Hi Bill Never a problem, it's what this forum is all about. Main thing is to Enjoy the Music, but to be sure what you have in your collection it always pays to ask. Don't assume just because one record is a BOOT, that they all are. Help to Identify is always available here. Sharing Information from many collectors. Further reading, a Thread from >>> MAY 2007 <<<- Nothing Can Compare To You/ The Velvet Satins
As it isn't an Original, Not sure on what this may be worth. Sometimes seen copies on ebay, described as "2nd Issue" which is a debate all it's own.- Nothing Can Compare To You/ The Velvet Satins
The Satins - Nothing Can Compare To You - [R]24389[/R] Hi Ted I have seen a few different Original designs & heard of others. ---One Of The Original DESIGNS. VINYL - Has both Matrix Stamps. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---One of the Many Counterfiet / BOOT Copies- VINYL This one caught me out back in the 70's Paid good money for it at the time.- Nothing Can Compare To You/ The Velvet Satins
Here is the Matrix Archive Sample Photo Followed by a DELTA (Triangle) & then NUMBER in this case 10031 ("-X" Denotes B'Side) This Matrix Stamp is the Monarch Matrix which has a very accurate date system. A grid for 60's releases can be found at >>> ANORAK'S CORNER <<< 10031 makes it a 70's Press. I must STRESS at this point that many Original Records carry a Monarch Stamp.Monarch just happened to be used to press certain BOOTS in the 70's.Fortunately Monarch DATE System Helps in this regard.- Nothing Can Compare To You/ The Velvet Satins
As Harry states these are the Matrix Stamps "Archive Sample Photo" below. -------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ If your copy has the DELTA # 10031 - Then Unfortunately it would be a boot, as already mentioned by Spot.- Bootleg, Copy Etc
Bootleg Guide is Essential Purchase. You will always find help on here, as mentioned via scan, deadwax etc. Worth posting either here or in "THE SHARP END OF VINYL" for a specific title.- Sunday Picture Quiz
