  1. Marsha Gee - Baby I Need You - Here's one of my copies, Although I'm unable to find a Daisy Stamp. Difficult to take a Photo at this time of night but this is the scratched in Matrix on my copy (Which Does NOT Have A Daisy Stamp as far as I can tell) "45---67023 - F-1----1"
  2. Hi Steve Apparently on one press there is a Capitol "Daisy Stamp" in the DEAD WAX Another press has the Triangle with 3 letters contained within it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- However, I bought 2 Copies from a Trusted Source in the 70's & I can't find a Stamp on either. I will scan the record again as the above scan is from my old scanner.
  3. Just Searched >>> PopSike.com <<< A Couple Of Blue Label Copies (One's A DEMO) PopSike.com PopSike.com PopSike.com PopSike.com
  4. Many Thanks for Info, I have tried before to find out, without success.
  5. I would say that It's Incredibly Rare. Often wondered if the BLACK Lettering DEMO's are VINYL, as other titles can be found in VINYL, but quite hard to find. So are these the DEMO's from the same Pressing Plant. I have the RED Lettering STYRENE DEMO, Unfortunately I haven't seen a BLACK Writing DEMO (Other than a Scan) to compare so just guesswork, I could be wrong. Anyone know for definite. STYRENE STYRENE---------------------------------------------------------------VINYL ----
  6. Johnnie Taylor - I Aint Particular - Stax - [R]51924[/R]-(Clip from Refosoul Archive) Nice One
  7. Hi Bill Never a problem, it's what this forum is all about. Main thing is to Enjoy the Music, but to be sure what you have in your collection it always pays to ask. Don't assume just because one record is a BOOT, that they all are. Help to Identify is always available here. Sharing Information from many collectors. Further reading, a Thread from >>> MAY 2007 <<<
  8. As it isn't an Original, Not sure on what this may be worth. Sometimes seen copies on ebay, described as "2nd Issue" which is a debate all it's own.
  9. The Satins - Nothing Can Compare To You - [R]24389[/R] Hi Ted I have seen a few different Original designs & heard of others. ---One Of The Original DESIGNS. VINYL - Has both Matrix Stamps. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---One of the Many Counterfiet / BOOT Copies- VINYL This one caught me out back in the 70's Paid good money for it at the time.
  10. Here is the Matrix Archive Sample Photo Followed by a DELTA (Triangle) & then NUMBER in this case 10031 ("-X" Denotes B'Side) This Matrix Stamp is the Monarch Matrix which has a very accurate date system. A grid for 60's releases can be found at >>> ANORAK'S CORNER <<< 10031 makes it a 70's Press. I must STRESS at this point that many Original Records carry a Monarch Stamp.Monarch just happened to be used to press certain BOOTS in the 70's.Fortunately Monarch DATE System Helps in this regard.
  11. As Harry states these are the Matrix Stamps "Archive Sample Photo" below. -------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ If your copy has the DELTA # 10031 - Then Unfortunately it would be a boot, as already mentioned by Spot.
  12. Bootleg Guide is Essential Purchase. You will always find help on here, as mentioned via scan, deadwax etc. Worth posting either here or in "THE SHARP END OF VINYL" for a specific title.
  13. Bob Wilson
  14. Never really noticed before, Recently picked up a 2nd copy & now I have two different (UK) BLACK ATLANTIC Label Designs. Only very slight, but the differences are there. Didn't consider the chance of two runs at the pressing plant/s (Label Wise at Least 2 Printing Runs). Looking at this >>> BLACK ATLANTIC <<< It did chart at #12 So that's possibly why this has happened. Got me wondering if any of the other releases sold enough to gain a second run. I was always under the impression that the BLACK LABEL (DECCA) Distribution was a relatively short period of time. As the LINK States, between 1964 and 1966. Just looking at that (Push Out Center), Two Different Pressing Plants Involved.
  15. I reckon different stampers for the Stock Copy would be the reason. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- RE: Test Press Looking forward to hearing it, That RVG-598 RE-6 matrix is intriguing.
  16. These have Following Matrix on the Released DEMO & Stock Copy RVG 603-1 & RVG 603-2 RVG 603-2 & RVG 599-4
  17. Many Thanks for ALL Information, Fascinating stuff. Here's another VOLT Multicoloured, already mentioned by TONY.
  18. Do we know how Titles many were produced on this Green Label & Over which period of time. Doesn't appear to be more than a matter of months >>> GREEN STAX ARTICLE <<< This one has HOLD ON I'M COMING ON FLIP (Double A) Some Sort of RE-ISSUE, which I found strange as I assume a similar release period to that of the Green Stax S-242 "I Thank You" Copy, also a RE-ISSUE.
  19. Hi Ged Here you are, I have Included the Matrix Scans with my other post.
  20. Interesting Mispress, guessing it's all in the Dead Wax, However, as the Artctics have many shades & Label Variations thought I'd Post Mine. Here's My Copy, Both Sides Play As Label States. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here's Another Label Design For Instance, Wonder If It's There's Also A Clue In The Label Design/Shade/Layout. Unfortunately This One Isn't My Copy So I Can't Play It To Find Out.
  21. Hi Steve Many Thanks for bringing this record to our attention. Yet to hear a soundfile, just been to rudzysrecords & couldn't find one, However; On your reccomendation alone I would buy it .
  22. I have experienced this while looking through WANTS, I may just have a spare copy of said record, I feel It would help If we have an idea of what that person (Ball Park figure) may be looking at, because at this point I need to know if they are being realistic in their expectations. As you say a collector "they are not bothered if they sell them or not.. as its from there collection" Reason being that if I was to sell the same record in the SALES SECTION then I would be commiting to a price. As a Collector (Although it's natural to get the best price) it wouldn't be Top Dollar or nothing. I think most of us have that "prepared to pay" or "prepared to sell for" figure on such records.
  23. Yes, It's OK, here's the Lady in 1967
  24. It's after Diana Ross left the group. Jean Terrell
