Thanks Malc, As I Said Great To Be Back.
I Think That Between Us All, Sharing Information & Thoughts Have Solved Many A Puzzle
Where Information Has Been Lost Through Time.
Yes, I am only assuming that to be the meaning, certainly fits this situation perfectly,
would be good to check other Chess releases, I'll have a look see what i've got.
I think that here are STYRENE Chess copies about though of other releases,
so could it be Genuine BUT from a different pressing plant.
My first thought
Would a BOOT be so accurate using SW rather than MW in the Deadwax.
Definitely different then Pete
My copies are BOTH
TM1769 (With a strange @ type matrix mark scratched in)
14784 MW
I will play them though,
My graphics card has failed on my Main Computer, so will have to play through LapTop.
Hi Pete
I have a couple of copies, both US, slightly different Label Shade of Blue Label Wise.
However I think that the Deadwax is the same.
I will try to check them today.
Unfortunately I can't help much, However;
Here's the same one on Popsike.com

The following have the Red "A" and the different credit layout on the label.

Hi Rod
Heard similar, however, never seen one or a scan Identified as such.
There are some different quality press amongst the "Legit" copies.
Would love to see a definite scan / details for the dodgy copies.
Yes, Many different pressing plants used across the various Motown Labels.
"Arp", "Nashville Matrix", Monarch, ZTSC etc.
Which also leads to many different Label Variations, credit layout & such.
Found these on PopSike Both Numbers The 2491 is the Stock Copy though

Atlantic Records # 2442 - The Ambassadors - I've got to find happiness / I'm so proud of my baby
www.PopSike.com
Atlantic Records # 2491 - The Ambassadors - I've got to find happiness / Good Love Gone Bad
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also notice that the Red & White DEMO 2442 >>> On ebay <<< has a different credit Layout
which can happen if from a different Pressing Plant.
(For Example)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Regarding the Black & White, I'm not 100% sure but my hunch is that it may appear on both.
Could be that it crossed over from the Black & White used on Earlier DEMOs
to the Later Red & White, Depending on pressing plant.
It isn't far away from this one Atlantic # 2406, which can be found on Black & White / Red & White
PopSike.com
PopSike.com
Hopefully someone can confirm
I believe that there is a STYRENE DEMO for this & West Coast Press.
Haven't actually HELD a copy to check Deadwax though, these two Stock Copies are from PopSike.com
Both Described as WEST COAST STOCK COPY (Click on Label)
Looking at the Run-In Does look to be Monarch style rather than the Multi Run-In (Bestway)
Hi Mark
Yes, London DEMOs & Big Top White DEMOs are extremely Desirable.
Think there's both an East Coast & a West Coast White DEMO for the Big Top release.
Virtually Impossible To Find Though.
