  1. Speedy recovery Mark.
  2. I have the White DEMO, Yellow Stock Copy and the Official Re-issue. The White DEMO and Yellow Stock Copy were from Soul Bowl. Most records that I bought were in Excellent to Mint condition but the Yellow Stock Copy although it plays OK is of a lesser grade. It looks to have been well played and not from a Warehouse find or Radio Station source. (The name of the previous owner written on the label) I suspect that it may well have been more difficult to find the Yellow Stock Copy in any quantity and in pristine condition. It made me think that the Yellow Stock Copy was perhaps the rare one. Now we have the internet, that position may have changed from copies now available and purchased at the time it was released.
  3. Sisters Love - I'm Learning To Trust My Man
  4. Big Boris - Devils Drive
  5. I mentioned this one in 2008. The Chants - Baby I Don't Need Your Love.
  6. Joe Tex West Coast looks OK to me. Here's another.
  7. There are so many to choose from. Sandi Sheldon of course, should be there. I have always thought Heatwave Martha & The Vandellas and Sheila Anthony Living In Love have excellent intros. Heatwave also quite a long Intro but in no way too long and is a perfect lead in to the Vocal.
  8. I hope so too. It would have been nice to see the full version. Surely they could have allocated extra time for this event. I enjoyed the program. The singers and orchestra covered the songs well. If they do revisit in future and with such an orchestra at their disposal the Instrumentals should definitely feature.
  9. As a comparison at Columbia. The 50 single sided DEMO Scott's On Swingers were ZTSC matrix stamped. In small number for the competition prize. The double sided Scott's On Swingers Demos have a scratched matrix. A larger pressed quantity guessing at a different time or pressing plant.
  10. I still think Test Press. Just wondering about a Canadian press as they are Vinyl and Stamped. Usually Canadian Epic for Okeh releases. Either way a Test Press as vinyl also used at times in U.S.A. at Columbia.
  11. Were these the only two tracks available for The Seven Souls or could it be a last minute change. If so it could be the reason for the single sided press. The numbers do follow each other though. 117415 117416 Quality Control possibly is the reason after all.
  12. The Seven Souls Okeh 4-7289 117415 117416 Two numbers on we have The Triumphs I'm Coming To Your Rescue. Okeh 4-7291 117423 117424 With 2 Different DEMO A sides for promotion. Perhaps 2 different pressing plants involved at the time was the reason. As already mentioned above.
  13. JZSP Normally in the DEMO deadwax and printed on the Demo label. I have found instances where certain Stock Copies have this too. I have copies of Soul A Go Go on a Stock Copy with this. ZSP on the Label This one has JZSP Stamped in the deadwax BOTH sides. ------------------------------------------------------------- JZSP on the Label This one has ZSP Stamped in the deadwax BOTH sides.
  14. Extremely sad news. An amazing artist and a true legend. His records will always be a part of our scene. R.I.P. Chuck Jackson
  15. The same West Coast / East Coast difference on their next release.
  16. Yes. I obtained the Amy Mala Bell East Coast white demo from Soul Bowl years ago. As you say both are original. West Coast and East Coast. The west coast was a chance find following years of searching.
  17. Very difficult to find this Demo. It is the Demo to the blue stock copy without Amy Mala Bell distribution. I found my copy back in 2008 following years of searching.
  18. Very sad news. So many records of his are regular plays and loved by us all. Please Let Me In. Real Humdinger. Our Love Is In The Pocket. Sweet Sherry. His music has always been there in my collection. R.I.P. J.J. Barnes
  19. In a strange way I suppose the label is correct as the intention was to play Here I Am Baby. However; this one always plays Keep Off No Trespassing both sides on the Midwest DJ Copy. Often wondered how this mistake this wasn't picked up. DEMO's from other pressing plants have Here I Am Baby both sides as the label states.
  20. Another remarkable thing here is that Canada, Australia, Germany and I have a copy from South America. They all copied the same mistake with Nothing But Heartaches ( Keep Haunting Me ) as the title. There is a Picture Cover for the German copy too with that title.
  21. Regarding the Original question. I have a few Double A Side Stock Copies and all are from the "Arp" Pressing Plant. Various titles.
  22. >>> Auction 20/08/08 <<< Includes the rare Frances Nero Stock Copy >>> Lilac and White <<< Includes the number S-35030 on Lilac and White Links as promised. Rarity of the Lilac and White labels vary depending on the release number.
  23. Very rare on Lilac / White. I will post a link to a previous post regarding this when I get home in the morning. I notice that Manship currently has a Gladys Knight and The Pips on Lilac / White.
  24. I havn't heard of the Top Tunes release but interested to know if one does exist. To this point most of Chubby Checkers records had gained a release in other countries. Following Two Hearts Make One Love / You Just Don't Know his next release Hey You Little Boogaloo did manage to get released in several countries and then Looking At Tomorrow / You Got The Power suffered a similar fate as US only with Stock Copies difficult to find.
  25. I assume that the timeline for this is that it would be pressed around October / November at Monarch for a potential release in December 1965 during which time someone at Pye requested the tracks for release in the UK. It is strange that no other country made a similar request. Once the decision was made in the US to shelve the release I guess that the window of opportunity for release in other countries must have disappeared too.
