Hi all, I thought I'd raise some money for Christmas and put my copy of Bessie Banks, Don't You Worry, Baby up for sale. Its a nice demo copy of this classic floorfiller which plays as loud and clear as you'd expect. There's a bit of inconspicuous surface noise o the run-in and a strange little flattening of the rim (Ie not on the playing or run-in surface) for about 1 cm which does not affect listeninging enjoyment! 120 GBP and its yours. Just come back on line - 67 replies!! My view is that there is good and bad disco (by good I mean the likes of Four Below Zero and Double Exposure and by bad I mean cheesy euro dross by the likes of Boney M). It seems to me that a lot of the old Mecca spins and recent 70s discoveries were simply recordings by soul artists aimed at the dancefloor - disco in other words. But just to dismiss it all out of hand through some ridiculous prejudice seems misinformed to say the least! IMHO. Steve.

Can't help noticing on this forum that 'disco' is a dirty word for some people! Why is that? What is it about 'disco' or some people's perceptions of 'disco' that winds people up? Discuss! Steve.
