Excellant advice if ya believe in them and keep it real you'll be ok. As both a dancer and a dj, I think to meself, "what do I like to dance and listen too" But keep the faith, enjoy the music... and like previously mentioned don't get stuck so far up the rarest of rare tunnel and don't spin money. ..

For me it has to be Holly St James and thats not love, the Early morning call at Lincoln Drill Hall This was my first encounter with northern, the first event I had attended. An alnighter. From that nite on I have been hooked and have travelled a few miles over the years, regular haunts for me was, apart from the drill hall alnighters, was the pier and winter gardens at cleethorpes and the beloved palais at nottingham. Other places traveled to included va va's, Queens hall, the assembly rooms, stoke, remember having a brilliant all dayer once in romeo and juliets at, I think it was Derby... Remember being at an all nighter somewhere then travelling down to blackpool for a dayer... think that would kill me now... Happy memories, great friends, and a wonderful life.

We have been attending the monthly nites there now for a few years and have never been disappointed, they have the right attitude to the sounds they play and the right order, the music flows at this venue, the dance floor is hardly empty. The sounds are not the same old, same old and each dj plays recently aquired tunes, as well as what people request. The best nite by far in the Nottinghamshire area and well worth a visit, I can gurantee you will return. Well done Dougie, Gez and Andy. Dawn Roberts East Lincoln Soul Club

East Lincoln Soul Club passes its heartfelt sympathies to all his family and friends stateside. A great loss in the hearts of soulies worldwide and a gap that can never be filled. On a personal note, from a young age the four tops music was something that I identified with, and knew all the words to the songs that they sang. Decades later and my young daughter has followed in my footsteps and adores the classic track "Baby I need your lovin" Rest in peace Dawn, Trev, Gaz and Bernie E.L.S.C

Joss stone.... spent long period of time working close to those connected with motown to record her first album... the soul sessions... stated that she wanted to "keep it real" however the big boys of the commercial industry decided better with the new album hence all the present knocks that she has had re this album.... dont know bout you lot but fed up with being ripped off by the commercial industry when 80/90 per cent of the album is released as singles.... very creative or what.....
