  16. I just thought that in order not to waste them I could get as much as possible for Children in need, as Bobby Womack isn't everyones cup of of Tea. Its his Blues Headliners tour and i paid a total of £55.00 for the two tickets. Dawn
  17. I have two tickets to see Bobby Womack in concert At the Carling Apollo, Manchester, this Sunday the 20th of November. The concert starts at 7pm. I am unable to go now due to work commitments, and rather than let the tickets go unused would like to "Sell" them, with the money if sold, going to Children in need. I will post the tickets by special delivery at no extra cost to the buyer. Seeing as its for a good cause I will accept the highest offer for these by 8pm this evening, please would you post up your "offer" on here rather than PM so all may see how Charitable us Soulies are. This is a genuine post guys and is for a good cause.

  21. I like that Ken, played it a couple of times, I'll definately work but afraid I dont know anything about it
  22. For me Craig with out a doubt it has to be Sam Dees and lonely for you baby.... first heard this years ago and it blew me away and still does... its that thumping Base and his voice... wow... Female vocals has to be either Kim Weston (anything) or Barbara Lynns this is the thanks I get... that sound is the epitomy of everything female.....
  23. At what age did we stop listening to radio 1? and moved onto radio two, can remember when i was younger i used to hate me mum and dad listening to radio 2 cos it wasn't "hip" to do so and sunday mornings used to be so boring listening to family favourites... Ken Bruce still has his soul slot..... Still get texts and calls from friends saying "put radio two on now they are playing northern" and always stop what Im doing to put it on if it isnt already
  24. I always put my handbag in the middle of the circle Sorry I had to do it before anyone else.....
  25. I know what you are saying Mike, but I think the way that I read winnies post and replied was that sometimes the odd few forget about the dance floor and have little competitions between themselves when behind the decks with the rarest of the rare stuff, dont get me wrong sounds have to break somewhere and somehow, but are done in such a way, as I am sure you know, not to cause over kill in its initial first few plays. But if you want it to "sound a bit different" or "stand out" from the others then dont play the stuff all night long. Well known for beyond its time sounds, as you know was the pier at Cleethorpes they had a great reputation for breaking new stuff on the scene at the time but they also played the good old tried and previously tested sounds.
