Apparently the winter gardens are taking bookings until 2008, or until they decide to either carry on with the main ballroom or turn it into a cinema. So it looks like it will remain open til then (fingers crossed) The present people that currently own the winter gardens have stated that whatever they decide (the builders) , they are looking to building a new venue somewhere in the Cleethorpes area!!! on the same sort of lines as the present gardens. The actual northern soul advertisement has been advertised for years in the tourist book, as has the bags ball? and scooter rally, and I dont really think it has had a negative effect on either the northern or the scooter scene. Just means there is more opportunity for us lot to get a B and B when the tourists leave town, cos they realise that a bunch of us nutters are on the way

I love to read playlists too, but must admit I am the worlds worst when it comes to remembering what I played the next day and posting them up I always try to keep them in some sort of order, but find that due to the fact I change my mind at the last minute on what to put on the turntable it becomes a nightmare to remember. What would be a great idea for this lazy ass here would for someone to actually make notes on the nite as to what was played bizarre request I know but hey ya never know

I know that Steve Woomble has an all dayer there on Good Friday... i am absolutely bloody gutted about the plans for the winter gardens... I knew it was in the pipeline to change it, rumor had it that they were just going to adapt it, mainly upstairs to these flats and leave the ball room intact, but obviously more money in making it a cinema now, I have found a link that tells you about it but dont know how to post it up on here.

planned for next year Ken... a bleeding cinema and luxary flats.... local businessman has come up with the concept to bring it up to date.... the fcking tw**
