  2. tis alright luv I have found my glasses now (they were on top of my head) I thought it read flegling (the title) I say be eclectic in your music, if it fits your mood then fine, I would recommend classic euphoria for getting the housework done in half the time, sweet soul for the good times, deep soul for the bad times, definately NO ABBA at any time, Candi Staton young hearts run free for mum and daughter times, terry jacks seasons in the sun for the reflective being young times in the long hot summer of 76, and a touch of the barry whites for the personal times
  3. No frank Wilson ever again ... melt it down and use it for an ashtray. You sound like jazzy B on the soul brittania thread mentioning the word racist. Im not really sure what the question you ask really is, but someone fiddled whilst Rome burned.
  4. Well I can't wait for part three of the video diary to be posted up, I have just been having a look at thier site, my young un is quite keen on the mosher looking lad, but became disgruntled when northern soul was mentioned!!!! So all this then was Russ Winstanleys fault then for giving the chap a book about the casino when all the guy was doing was having a quiet pint....
  5. I remember going to a dayer in the very early 8ts in Grantham load of us got off at the bus station and walked through the town to a place called the top hat (I think that was what it was called) we thought the town was closed as we were walking through it, not a soul about anywhere, really spooky it was anyhow, got to the venue and it was packed, one of the best all dayers ever. Have got a couple of pics somewhere will post up.

  18. You can't close it now Mossy, just cos your chilled with a fat one in stonking heat in fun central ... Can I come and film ya we could call it 'Mossy goes Large' .
  19. Blue Juice Ian now that was a crackin little film, with the gorgeous Sean Pertwee and Catherine Zeta Jones,Predominately a surfing movie, touched on the northern and the rave scenes briefly, both done very nicely IMO, especially the bit about the northern, where the character Josh Tambini (record producer) got slated for mixing the classics up as dodgy remixes especially the Ozzie sands track performed by the late great Edwin Starr playing Ozzie. When they locked Josh up in the northern nite in the local village til he got it into his head that the originals were indeed the best.
  20. Now Mossy what have I told you? You don't have to call me god anymore Dawn will be fine.
  21. it was a long time ago dear, some who maybe were not born may not have been privy, and of course there are those whose senility might need a jog or two.
