Mixed list – December 16 Anything under £50 sent 1st class signed add £2.75, anything £50 or over sent Special Delivery please add £7.25 Margie Joseph – One More Chance – Volt – VG minus, absolute classic dancefloor filling mid tempo soul. That horn, the voice… some pressing bubbles and age wear to labels means there is a bit of hiss and crackle to this, but the music plays through strong and loud. £75 The M.V.P’s – Turning My Heartbeat Up – Buddah UK – EX+, classic oldie, never fails. British solid centred copy, looks like it was bought from Woolies this morning. £70 Bobby Sheen – Dr. Love/Sweet Sweet Love – Capitol UK – EX+. Stone cold minter of the later issue of this classic double sider. £60 The Falcons – I’m A Fool I Must Love You – Big Wheel – VG; plays great and strong despite a couple of scuffs, label starting to bubble as these are prone to do, but a very honest copy that I’ve used to DJ with the past couple of years with no issues. £55 Rickey Andrews – The Next Time – RWA Records – EX; used to be big £££s until a box or two turned up. Great mid-tempo funky soul, really bang on the money for todays upfront rooms/scene. £55 Frankie & Robert – Love (Its Been So Long)/Sweet Thing – Tragar – EX; really great double sided funky soul, on a very collectable label. Great looking copy of a record that is underplayed and is yet to have its day. £40 Unknown – I’m Gonna Destroy That Boy – Munster Records – Mint unplayed copy of this big room tune, released for the first time last year by the nephew of the… there is a great insert telling the story, in its original picture sleeve, pick this up now as it is getting more and more scarce. £40 Mamie Galore – It Ain’t Neccesary – St. Lawrence – VG+; great copy of this fantastic indemand stomper. £35 Clifford Binns – You’ve Got To Help Me – Carrie – EX; fantastic copy of the 2nd legal issue of the green single. £30 Brothers of Love – Check Your Love – Blue Rock – EX; funky soul at its finest. October 2016 Sales List All original vinyl obviously Full Speed – Put ‘Em On The Right Track (Real Thing RT101) – EX- (some label bubbles, common on all copies) - £75 – getting big room plays, this is a lovely copy Eddie Curtis – Those Foxes and Pussycats (Josie 45-957) – EX+ £60 – very fast, very cool funky RnB screamer that seldom comes up. Margie Joseph – One More Chance (Volt VOA-4012) – VG - £45 - Few vinyl blisters and general age wear to vinyl and label, hence giveaway price. Plays loud right through with a couple of pops (OK for DJing LOL). Fantastic record, as you will know. Hank Carbo – Bad Luck (HCP 0973) – EX+ £30 – Nice copy of this funky RnB grower, getting spins in upfront rooms and clubs and packing the floors. Great track. Postage £3 recorded in UK. Mixed list – All Originals Darrell Banks – I’m The One Who Loves You (Volt) – VG SOLD – absolute, stonewall classic. Few scuffs, but plays strong and valued accordingly. The Showmen – Take It Baby (BB) – VG+ vinyl, label has ringwear VG £35 – with the lovely In Paradise on the flip, this double sider is getting plays everywhere. The Ultimations – Would I Do It Over (Mar-V-Lus) – EX £30 – ridiculously underplayed class. If you don’t know it, look it up. Group soul at it’s very, very best. The Enchanters – You Were Meant To Be My Baby (Loma issue) – EX £25 – who doesn’t love them bright yellow Loma issues, and this is one of the best. A brilliant dancer. Johnny Nash – You Never Know / Good Goodness (MGM demo) – EX SOLD – clean as they come beautiful yellow MGM demo, both sides very popular Northern dancers. Johnny Daye – Good Time (Jomada) – VG+ SOLD - Great dancer, written by Willie Kendrick and produced by Johnny Nash. Danny White – Cracked Up Over You (MCA UK) – Vinyl EX but centre removed £15 – classic dancer. Rockie Brown – Without A Warning (Penntowne) – EX £15 – Up front soul music, a record that is waiting to take off. Very strong dancer, and a beautiful copy. REDUCED OFF LAST LIST Terry Callier / Gary Bartz – Ordinary Joe (Jazz Fusion Mix)/Music Is My Sanctuary (Mellow Mellow Right On) – NM £35 - lovely modern mix of a club classic, on the first issue white vinyl, with the very indemand Gary Bartz modern soul track on the flip. Great dancer on the A, heartbreaker on the flip. Rare to find one as fresh as this Darrow Fletcher – Way Of A Man / I Like The Way I Feel (Revue) VG+ £40 – never made a bad record, but these two upfront soul drivers are great, and ripe for reactivation Terry Callier / Gary Bartz – Ordinary Joe (Jazz Fusion Mix)/Music Is My Sanctuary (Mellow Mellow Right On) – NM £40 - lovely modern mix of a club classic, on the first issue white vinyl, with the very indemand Gary Bartz modern soul track on the flip. The Chymes – Dancing Shoes / I’m Lost (Teako) Ex- Top side is a very upfront funky soul dancer, and the flip a classic driving dancer (label slightly off centre – record plays great) HOLD Emorise Kelley – The Biggest Fool (Peacock Demo) – Ex+ – Fantastic mid tempo R&B dancer from Texas. Semi-known, played at Stafford and always gets them up. SOLD Bobby Patterson – My Babys Coming Back To Me/What A Wonderful Night for Love (Jetstar – black vinyl) – EX+ with the ® symbol denoting an original, this is a classic oldies double sider that is gold for any DJ. Lovely glossy copy, barely played. HOLD Eddie Holman – Night To Remember (Salsoul UK issue) – Ex- £30 Needs no words. Getting spins again I am told. Bernice Holland and the Intimates – I’ve Got To Love You – VG+ £30 more Texas, this time a classy Northern Soul dancer full of piano and drums.
