i go to hip hug her out of manners and nothing else as they always supported us when we ran heavenly blocked in that venue....not tried riverside yet...so cant comment...cheltenham i used to support up to a point but it was a case of deja-vu one too many times... didnt hear anything that i didnt hear at the previous one and usually in the same order....soulfusion musically predictable big attendance from peeps who want to hear the same old thing...so i have to say for me there is nothing locally apart from a drink with old friends and ear plugs.....

also theres so many good soul nites around the south west at the moment im out every week there are?? apart from stuff that involves scooters ska mod and R&B ???? cant think of any cept for bridgwater that play northern stuff

5. Be honest now folks, how many of those who have posted negative comments on this thread who also DJ, would attend a nighter if asked to do a set at 5 a.m. (quite a few I bet )

but mark you love yer oldies i am frankly sick of em...the power station i found rather odd tbh...modern room downtempo room and an uptempo room i found the mix of northern and modern soul in one big room rather weird but hey its s described an uptempo room ...maybe i just wanna be stimulated from time to time hear something a bit different.....and dont even get me started on grown men and women dressing like wigan throwbacks cos frankly thats just plain wrong.......then again maybe cos im straight its all a bit freakish having some guy chomping his bottom lip off and foaming at the mouth whilst trying to hold a convo...and its all got a lot worse with the new laws allowing peeps to drink all nite....apart from lifeline weekender ive found nothing to make me continue going to venues even if only to sell records lol....

ive been to lifeline..i DJed at the weekender (loved it)but these kinds of venues are few and far between,,,the fact the wilton is on a friday is also a pain as its hell of a trek from here...looking at a 4 hour plus drive...serves me rite i spose for living in the deepest south west

because the nighter scene is stale and boring thats why ive not been anywhere .....ive had maybe 3 nites out all year....i rarely went out last year but everytime i did...same old blah blah music...my theory is now some time away from it may renew my enthusiasm ...but i doubt it... cookie

good luck if you can shift that piece of tripe its been in my sales box for eons (at a lot less than that) not a patch on my life with you cookie
